Trump sat next to Abu Mohammad al-Julani — now presented to the world as “Ahmad al-Sharaa” — and openly bragged about how much he has done for Israel.

One of his examples?

We know what American presidents do when it comes to Israel.

The shocking part is that Julani, sitting there as the supposed leader of Syria, said nothing.

No objection.

No correction.

No defense of Syrian sovereignty.

And when the man claiming to represent Syria remains silent while occupied Syrian land is casually handed to Israel, that silence becomes political recognition of the humiliation.

But this is not only about Syria.

This is the disease of modern politics.

Leaders no longer behave like servants of their nations. They behave like executive directors managing someone else’s project.

Mark Rutte sits quietly while Trump insults Spain.

Western leaders nod while Greenland is spoken of as if it belongs to Washington.

A German chancellor once stood beside Biden as Nord Stream was threatened and later destroyed.

The pattern is clear.

Politicians who surrender national interests are called “democrats.”

Those who defend sovereignty are called “dictators.”

Maybe I am wrong, but I see a world full of leaders who have lost the most basic requirement of political life:

⚠️ Trump Tries to Project Strength — but negotiates on Iran's Terms.

In this new Deep Dive clip, Scott Horton (@scotthortonshow) breaks down the reality almost no one in Washington wants to admit: President Trump is now negotiating on Iran’s terms from a position of weakness,

not America’s.

Scott points out that when Trump announced the ceasefire, he openly said “we’re going to negotiate on their plan for coming to terms.” And the MOU reflects exactly that. As Scott explains, “the MOU is virtually all their gain — all they have to do is reopen the Strait under their new rules, and we’ve got to do every approved thing in there.”

Trump’s posture has flipped so dramatically that Scott describes it as “like a cat that slams into the screen door… of course I meant to do that.” In other words, Trump may try to spin a strategic retreat as a masterstroke — but the reality is unmistakable: Iran now sets the rules in the Gulf, and the U.S. is operating inside those constraints.

Scott warns that for Trump to keep pretending he’s in control, he would have to “really lose face on the new status quo in the Gulf.” That’s the political cost he’s trying to avoid — AND THE STRATEGIC TRUTH HE CANNOT ESCAPE.
