An accomplished business woman, she owns De La Grenade Industries, which produces food products. A bit of trivia: she is the first cousin of Maurice Bishop, Grenada’s Prime Minister during the 1979-1983 revolution. Her Excellency’s father and Bishop’s mother were siblings.

Her Excellency Governor-General Dame Cécile La Grenade has now marked 13 years in office as Governor-General of Grenada. Through 13 years of steadfast service to the Crown and Grenada, Her Excellency has been a model Governor-General. She will hopefully serve many more years.

@kynakwado2 We have requested that the government make a formal request for an official state portrait from the King multiple times, but they have sadly declined to do so. Unfortunately, after the late Queen’s death, her portraits have been removed but not replaced in government offices

Britain has done it, Canada has done it. It’s time for Grenada - and the Caribbean Realms generally - to use our ace in dealing with Donald Trump: His Majesty the King. Trump’s affinity and respect for the monarchy is well known. Let us use our head of state’s diplomatic reach.
