@mediacitizenong I agree he immerses the audience well. It's something that brings out emotions in people and can be informative. I agree with it also creating a sense of needing societal change with police brutality even in current times.
@zhixi857 I agree with this, the cinematography capturing this causes viewers to pay attention. Viewers being immersed in the characters is important to understanding the movie and being more focused on what's happening in it.
Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" makes me feel tense. The cinematography and lighting create an atmosphere that's tense but captures viewers attention even though some parts can provoke emotions like anger or sadness at what's happening. #MEDIA1801D04
@hannah68665232 I think this is a good take on this topic. While fully regulating it would strip too much freedom away just monitoring it and having a middle ground could be of good use to everyone as long as opinions and communication can still happen freely.
@1eesauce I agree with this, the internet should be a place where people can communicate with each other and speak freely. Regulating that would take away a lot of that freedom.
The FCC shouldn't regulate Internet like it does network TV because people wouldn't be able to be as open or share as much with others. People need to be able to freely connect with others, share their ideas and creations and spread awareness of things happening.#MEDIA1801D04
@crabundermyskin I agree with this but I think that in some cases it has increased a sense of community with more variety of shows and choosing when to watch so you can watch with friends, family etc and bond over it
@zhixi857 I agree that is has expanded what people can watch and when and that has brought people together. I also think that people do spend more time watching stuff instead on interacting more now than before cable.
Cable TV has given us a more variety of the content we watch and people talk about content they watch with each other. I think it has caused people to spend more time in front of the TV and less with each other because they can choose more of what to watch and when. #MEDIA1801D04
@jeremiahbeaufi1 I agree that it is debatable but that social media fosters more than harms it. People being able to share their thoughts and beliefs while also seeing others beliefs and opinions is important and having apps for people to connect with each other as well.
@crabundermyskin While that is true about misinformation, I think being able to connect with other people and share ideas/ raise awareness etc, helps foster it more than harm.
I think social media more so fosters democracy and the principle of freedom. People can publish their own content which can help connect people together and also raise awareness for things. It also gives people the freedom to connect with others and share ideas. #MEDIA1801D04
