@BethMooreLPM I love Peace Like A River soooooo much! I’ve read it maybe six times (and I rarely read a book). I keep suggesting it for book clubs and have found that most people done’t like it. I’ll keep recommending it though…😀
@BethMooreLPM That’s my dad’s favorite birthday cake as well, and now that our mama is gone it’s up to my sister who lives closer to him than I do by 1,500 miles to make it. Sure am glad it’s not up to me!
@BethMooreLPM@malcolmguite I met Malcolm out on Orcas Island, WA, about ten years ago. Delightful. And I cannot wait to hear both of your accents in one conversation!
@KaitlynSchiess Mostly the men either treated us just the same or ignored us. (I suppose that was discrimination in a way). I never felt like I was
treated differently by the profs. Very thankful for my time there.
@KaitlynSchiess I attended Bethel Theologicsl Seminary in Minnesota in the ‘90’s and only once in my three years did I get negative feedback for being there. A hate letter from a fellow student, because I dared to be the editor of the two-page, stapled seminary newspaper.
@BethMooreLPM Absolutely gorgeous! I lost my mama on Christmas Day last year and the weight of that is getting harder to bear as the season draws around again. I vacillate between wanting to not decorate at all or wanting to go all out. You’re making me want to go all out to honor her.
I don't like the word "eulogy". But like it or not, this is what this is. And if this is too long or feels too personal, please feel free to close this window right now. But if you're interested, here it is. The things I said about my mom at her memorial https://t.co/nWGagI6A1H
@BethMooreLPM@renesandifer I’m so very sorry for your loss. My mama died unexpectedly on Christmas Day. Never had truly understood grief until now. Prayers for you and yours, Beth.
