Possibly the best grilled cheese I’ve ever made: Swiss, onion and portobella mushroom on bakery sourdough. Yum!

Tidied up, weeded, with a fresh layer of compost added to the veg beds. Garlic is planted. All prepped for winter. Just a few cold-hardy things like beets, spinach, onions, parsley and carrots are left.

It’s -16 out there (with the windchill) this afternoon. The bird feeder out back, is absolute mayhem, but these birds on the front porch must have missed the memo that the drive-through is open.

When I saw this, I was reminded of the theft of porta-potties and the late Dean Rutherford of CrimeStoppers saying “and the police have nothing to go on”. Dean, still making us smile😁.
