Simone and Jules report to our #GreysAnatomy patient that she has a mediastinal mass, with a tissue diagnosis of a thymoma.
These tumors may be malignant (cancerous), but they’re usually benign (noncancerous). Surgery is the most common treatment.
Superior vena cava syndrome (SVCS) is a group of problems caused when blood flow through the superior vena cava is slowed down.
Common symptoms of SVC syndrome are:
✅Trouble breathing
✅Coughing
✅Swelling of the face, neck, upper body, and arms
