Just the tip of the iceberg. All these thieves and robber-barons who gutted and impoverished Armenia for their personal gain are going to cry "political persecution," when having zero justification of how they became obscenely wealthy, while the Armenian people suffered in poverty for three decades.
Armenia’s former President Robert Kocharyan, his son, Sedrak Kocharyan, along with four others, were arrested early Tuesday morning on corruption charges. The authorities have accused Kocharyan of accepting bribes and of abusing his power as president to seize properties at a fraction of their market value.

For the first time, Armenian tomatoes are expected to be exported to Europe this July.
The Armenian agricultural company Prom Group has purchased 20 new Volvo transport trucks for the export of produce to Europe. They are currently in the process of completing the construction of a new modern 10 hectare greenhouse complex equipped with robotic system and artificial intelligence to ensure the best possible produce is grown and harvested.
At full operation capacity, at least 25 tons of tomatoes can be harvested per day for the European market. As business grows, the company plans to purchase 30 more trucks.
Robert Kocharyan moved from Karabakh to Armenia in 1997 after President Levon Ter-Petrosyan resigned and appointed him President, despite never being elected, Kocharyan and his family went on to accumulate an enormous amount of wealth and assets during his years in office, an outcome that many find difficult to reconcile with the salary of a public official in a small and relatively poor country like Armenia. French defense giant Thales has announced a strategic partnership with Armenia’s BuTech, marking a major step for Armenia’s defense industry. The deal highlights the growing capability of Armenian companies to develop advanced technologies as a result of the Western pivot.
Тысячи армян приехали из России голосовать не для того, чтобы самим впервые обрести права, свободу и чувство собственного достоинства, а для того, чтобы лишить этих благ тех армян, которые здесь живут.
Twelve years ago, Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Canada, sat at a table with 10-12 other people in the lobby of the Hotel "Delta". He said that after the departure of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanian, an audit of the church's finances had been conducted and $120,000 had been discovered missing.
The construction site for which the Church allegedly allocated this money did not exist.
Just remind you that there were 10-12 people at the table, and Bishop Abgar Hovakimian was sitting directly across from me.
I have no comments, do you?
People screaming how Armenia must give into Russia's trade blackmail need to take a breath. Russia is taking actions meant to hurt Armenians & force them into line. As such, it's revealed itself (again) as an unreliable trade partner, period. Armenia has no choice but diversify.
After dozens of videos surfaced of Armenian citizens from Russia flying to Armenia for only a day to vote in the elections and then confessing to planning on leaving the nation before “things get messy and difficult”, a national discourse has been spreading.
Armenians are now discussing reforms to the electoral code in order to prevent cases like this from happening. These visitors are being refereed to as “Tourist Voters” and the reform ideas are aimed at stopping them.
The biggest catalyst in what started the discussions was a man named Hovhannes Sahakyan who confessed to flying in from Russia with his family to vote and leave on the same day. He added that they would leave on the same day because they’re with the kids and things can get messy and difficult. His response implied that even though he has come to vote in Armenias elections, neither him nor his family intend on living in Armenia or living under the regime/policies they voted for.
Sahakyan was arrested and is being accused of knowing about a crime and hiding it. He has since been released on bail but before the court, case he is not allowed to leave the country.
The main policy being discussed is in regards to who will be eligible to vote; a change so that citizens must live permanently in Armenia for X number of days within the last 5 years (or after the previous elections) in order to be eligible to vote. The number of days would presumably be more than half and the change would not apply to public servants stationed in other countries.
Let me remind you that the Armenian Constitution was amended by Serzh Sargsyan, and it is precisely because of that amendment that the judiciary remains unreformed - and that is exactly why all those Kremlin criminals are currently free
