Thank you Rover-Team @VE7PTN VA7VST plus Rover @VA3VGR for helping me finally break thru VUCC 1,000! Stalled at 997 since IO-117. Now I have some ARRL paperwork to take care of. dave
Big thanks to Dennis, @n7egy1 for taking the time on his travels to give me DN23! Dennis worked the "Drifter", AO-73 like a pro..... Now down to four squares left for Gridmaster. @GridChasers@GridMasterMap
Logs uploaded from High Cliff State Park (US-1456) yesterday. Used my dual Icom 705 setup with an Arrow 2 antenna. 5w on satellite, 10w on simplex. 8x 2m FM simplex, 28x FM sat, and 6x linear sat QSOs. Tried 2m FT8 but no luck. Thanks for the contacts! #HamRadio#AMSAT#VHF
The Long Rove North 2026 is underway. Mostly a travel day today. Doug @_VA7LM is first in the log! I was operating land mobile on ARISS while Andrea VA7VST was driving us to Port Hardy. Hope to be marine mobile tomorrow on FM sats. @GridMasterHeat@GridMasterMap
Decided to go back to the basics for a few FM passes. Ran just the two radios without external battery, laptop, cat control, etc. Sometimes simplicity just works better and there are fewer points of failure. Doppler is very easy when you can see the signal on the waterfall.
