Before a new weekend of racing begins, Week 31 of the #GRIDRanking sees the youngest #F1 champion in history, Kimi Antonelli, poised to seal the deal!

However, five drivers remain in contention: Alex Palou, Matthew Payne, Brodie Kostecki, Broc Feeney and Max Verstappen.

Palou would need a DNF from Antonelli in the next four races, while Verstappen would need to win the remaining F1 races and score maximum points in each one.

Five drivers are left in contention for the #GRIDRanking World Championship. However, if Kimi Antonelli wins the #BrazilianGP, he will eliminate the defending GRID Ranking Champion, Alex Palou.

Carson Hocevar Fined $100K & Suspended After Martinsville Antics | GRID Rising

Carson Hocevar's eventful afternoon at Martinsville came with major consequences.

NASCAR fined Hocevar $100,000 and docked him 25 driver points, while Spire Motorsports suspended the No. 77 driver from the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway following his on-track actions with Austin Cindric.

GRID Rising breaks down Hocevar's controversial Martinsville race, including the self-spin that drew immediate criticism from several NASCAR Cup Series competitors and the multiple brake checks that ultimately destroyed the nose of Cindric's No. 2 Penske Ford.

The data made the Cindric incident particularly difficult to ignore, showing Hocevar applying 1,023 pounds of brake pressure while crossing the start-finish line on the straightaway.

Was the punishment justified? Has Hocevar's aggressive style crossed the line from entertaining to unnecessary? We note that we're proud of Jeff Dickerson and Spire Motorsports for deciding to police the actions instead of letting only NASCAR handle it.

We also mention Denny Hamlin's criticism on Actions Detrimental, where he questioned whether Hocevar is more interested in becoming an entertainer like his friend Cleetus McFarland than building the type of racing legacy associated with someone like Jimmie Johnson.

Hocevar unquestionably has talent — but does he need to change the way he approaches these situations if he wants to become a serious NASCAR championship contender?
