Bahamian media outlets do not challenge the propaganda of the Government, they literally are the vehicle through which the propaganda is circulated. No investigation into BPL, no holding anyone accountable, just air head shit.
My journalist sister always tell me headlines sell but I could never comment on a headline without reading the article. After doing this for myself- this headline is very misleading

This is just a thought. One which I invite anyone to agree or disagree with.
The mainstream media’s influence over the court of public opinion is too great for headlines like this to be published if we expect a jury to be (as) unbiased (as possible). Bias already exists, and the defence burden is a heavy one because no one sympathises with (alleged) child killers.
How can the prosecution plan to seek the death penalty if the individual is still a suspect, he’s not even a defendant yet. He hasn’t been found guilty, and we don’t even know if the confession was given because of oppressive conduct, torture or whatever which would render it inadmissible if proven during a voir dire.
Regardless of how heinous the crime, the right to a fair trial dictates that the evidence be tested by reasonable doubt.
I’ve said before, that I believe in fairness and that the absence of a bias toward fairness in the media is an issue. Really, this is more damaging to the prosecution’s case because the door is cracked for a constitutional challenge on the fairness of the trial in light of the whole “innocent until proven guilty” burden of proof thing going out the window.
I know Bahamians inject politics into everything but I’ve read the court docs. But I’m confused why people are assuming that the politician mentioned is within the current administration. I just wanna know how they connected the dots 🤔🤔
