My spoiler-free thoughts on The Tide Child Trilogy by @dedbutdrmng RJ Barker. This is nautical, character-driven fantasy executed beautifully, and I highly recommend that fans of high fantasy give it a read.

@AuthorGFAllen Maps, no contest. If I'm not interested in the map for a particular series/book I can just not spend any time looking at it. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!
@stephenRB4 I think I'm up to around 300. And considering I'm in a one-bedroom apartment, I think that's pretty solid 😂. I reckon I can get to 500 or 600 before I need to move somewhere bigger, though
I made a video highlighting 5 *underrated* modern fantasy series. Includes series by: @PCQuaintrell@decastell@rnell2 . Check it out! (if you want to):

Alright, I gave in and finally ordered a copy of Dungeon Crawler Carl. The contrarian in me wants to believe it won't live up to the hype, but I'm sure I'm just gonna end up loving it #fantasybooks#dungeoncrawlercarl
Why The Dandelion Dynasty by @kyliu99 is a MUST-read for fans of epic fantasy and historical fantasy. Would love if y'all checked out my vid!

@stephenRB4 I mean, neither, but certainly closer to destroying than saving. It has many awesome uses, but unfortunately humankind has never known a tool that they couldn't abuse
@HJamesWrites I usually feel most creative late at night. But sometimes I'll pull up my doc on a whim in the afternoon when I'm bored and knock out a page that I feel great about.
Finished episode #2 in my series of (long) short stories last night! Now to motivate myself for my favorite part of the process, a thorough round of revisions!
Writers, do y'all enjoy that part of the process? Or does it feel like an absolute chore?
