Darren and the KMTV crew attended an event celebrating 10 years of the newest incarnation of local TV at the House of Commons. Their combined efforts, particularly Generation Genome, got a write up. https://t.co/HXsmthFgTG
Last day of the conference with a little more filming. Thank you Kornsorn and Worapong for being the most excellent hosts. But, most of all, thanks to my amazing crew. Tomorrow off to the mangrove swamps.
The Thai adventure continues with Darren interviewing Yongyuth Yuthavong, former deputy prime minister. Discussions were based around the importance of genomics for conservation & how scientists, conservationists & politicians can work together to prevent mass extinction.
Day 1 of the 1st Animal Genomics and Bioresources Symposium and Darren was one of the opening talks. Combining his plenary speaker and TV presenter roles, he interviewed colleagues on the role of scientists, conservationists and policy makers in saving species from extinction.
Darren completed the Brighton Half Marathon in aid of MacMillan last weekend in his personal best of 1.48.34 (previous best was 1.51.01).
En route he also broke his best 10k time (passing in 50.40 in comparison to his previous best of 51.01).
A great time was had by all at the Fertility 2023 conference in Belfast. 8 PhD students from GriffinLab attended.
Congratulations to everyone for their posters and to Ali and Balsam for their amazing talks.
