Three people are dead, including one Montreal police officer (first time a local officer killed in line-of-duty in 24 years), the male suspect, and a civilian.

A second officer was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but she is now stable, Montreal Police Chief Fady Dagher said at a news conference.

Police were responding to a 911 call of gunshots and a gun sticking out of a window quarter to noon on Monday morning on Décarie Boulevard when officers came under fire in the street, the chief said. Police believe the suspect acted alone.

This Pearson Airport story somehow keeps getting worse.

W5 literally walked in from the street into the baggage pickup area and showed how easy it would allegedly be to grab a “drug bag” and leave.

They also observed workers entering without pass scans and random people using exit doors.

A judge ruled Alberta can't ask Albertans a question, not until First Nations are consulted on whether the question can even be asked.

A judge ruled Ontario can't clear a homeless encampment because homelessness is now a Charter protected characteristic, like race or sex.

Judges across Canada are reducing sentences for foreign criminals so they don't get deported.
