I testify that as we “shun contention” and become “like-minded with the Lord in love and united with Him in faith,” His peace will be ours. @DaleGRenlund
Charity is having patience with someone who has let us down. It is resisting the impulse to become offended easily. It is accepting weaknesses and shortcomings. It is accepting people as they truly are. @ThomasSMonson
“I have lived too long, I have known too much, and I have seen too much to ever doubt the truth of those things that our prophets and apostles have revealed.” -Patricia T. Holland
When the love of God sets the tone for our own lives, for our relationships with each other, and ultimately for our feelings for all humankind, then old distinctions, limiting labels, and artificial divisions begin to pass away, and peace increases.
Just as minor deviations can draw us out of the Savior’s way, so too can simple acts of realignment assuredly lead us back. When darkness creeps into our lives, our daily restoration opens our hearts to heavenly light, illuminating our souls and chasing away fears and doubts.
We don’t know why all of the things that happen to us in life happen, why sometimes we are spared a tragedy and sometimes we are not. But that is where faith must truly mean something, or it is not faith at all.
