It was great to welcome a new group of U5s as they began their footballing journey this morning. My 14th season coaching at @OfficialCDGFC and proud to be of our success story. We are a village but we have 26 teams from U5s to U16s for boys and girls plus a men's 1st team & U18s.

It has been a pleasure and an honour to coach alongside these guys for the last two years at @OfficialCDGFC. I wish them the best with their next steps in life and I look forward to starting again with a new set of U5s and a new set of coaches in September.

It all begins somewhere! My @OfficialCDGFC U6s play their first ever matches this morning. 20 children, very nervous, very excited. A first team player of the future? That's the goal. We are a club with a pathway.

A great win for @OfficialCDGFC yesterday and delighted Bradley Smith made his 1st team debut. Bradley, who joined as an U12, is the third player from my U15 cup winning side in 2019 to play for the 1st team this season. We are a club that offers a pathway for young players 💪

At the end of my first season as U6s manager in 2010 I said to the then chairman all our junior teams should aspire to produce 2 players to go on to play for the 1st team & that we would endeavour to do that. Last night was a step towards delivering on a 11-year promise. #proud

CDGFC U14's won the HYDL, Div A on Saturday with a 100% record, scoring 57 and only conceding 3 goals with 2 games still to play. This is an outstanding effort and achievement by the boys and the club are very proud of them. #younganvils
