After an embarrassing showing from a certain driver at Monza which ruined what should've been a great home race for the prancing horse, AutoRacer comes out with a thinkpiece about how the other driver, the one who had to bail out the entire team that weekend, was causing issues for the Scuderia. In addition to this, you fan the flames with further articles about how said driver is causing issues internally by demanding the replacement of parts of the team, a claim that said driver has to then categorically deny on social media and yet here you now sit and play the victim? You've brought on a wave of hate with targeted articles against Lewis. It wasn't just objective journalism, those were chosen words specifically against Lewis and those exact words that you published and which were echoed across this platform brought so much noise and hate that Lewis himself became aware of it and felt the need to respond. You can't play the innocent victim card here. Its a position you chose to put yourself in. Of course there is a limit to the abuse. Death threats and such are unacceptable, there is no arguing that, however being called out for spewing lies does not qualify as such. If you're going to share your opinions onto the internet then you're going to inevitably open yourself up to criticism and thats not something thats exclusive to you. You're free to question Lewis' role at Ferrari all you like but you must realize that this is isn't published to some silly twitter account like myself. What you release will inevitably be broadcasted across the internet and it will have weight to it. Stand behind your words and own up to perhaps simply being wrong, but don't pick a fight and throw the first punches if you can't take the retaliation.
