Will McDonald IV didn't play football until a coach approached him his junior year of high school.

At the time, McDonald was always working, helping his family pay their bills, but his mother eventually agreed to let him take a chance on football.

McDonald ended up becoming a three-star recruit and received just ONE Power-5 offer from Iowa State. 

McDonald accepted that offer and has since put up 123 tackles, 34 sacks, and 10 forced fumbles.

Now, McDonald is on pace to potentially become the first Cyclones Edge selected within the first two rounds of the NFL Draft in program HISTORY.
