Godless scum have targeted the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra — the holiest site in Ukraine, a church that is nearly a thousand years old.
For centuries, the Lavra was what Moscow hated most — an independent spiritual center that did not belong to it. Until 1688, the monastery held the status of a stauropegia and was directly subordinate to the Ecumenical Patriarch in Constantinople, not Moscow. It was a separate, older, authentic tradition — the very one from which Moscow Orthodoxy had once emerged. And that is precisely why Moscow was so eager to subjugate the Lavra to its will.
When the Lavra was placed under the authority of the Moscow Patriarch in 1688, a systematic destruction of everything that made it distinct began. In 1718, immediately after Mazepa’s defeat, the tsar’s envoys, disguised as monks, set the Lavra ablaze on Peter I’s orders and destroyed its unique library and archives — the written record of independent Ukrainian spiritual and political life. At the same time, the Ukrainian version of the liturgical language was banned and replaced with the Moscow version. For centuries, they erased precisely what makes Kyiv Kyiv.
And therein lies the bitter irony. On the grounds of this very Lavra, in the Church of the Saviour at Berestove, lies Yuri Dolgorukiy — the very prince considered the founder of Moscow. Their city was born from Kyiv. Their state, their church, their writing system — all of this came from here, from our land. And in response, for centuries they have been burning, looting, and now bombing the cradle from which they themselves emerged.
This is not just barbarism. It is an attempt to destroy the evidence of their own origins. Because as long as Kyiv stands and the Lavra stands — the world sees who here is a millennia-old civilization, and who is a misunderstanding that has appropriated someone else’s history.
We will rebuild everything. Just as we have rebuilt many times before. And God will return to Russia — exactly the way they deserve. Ballistically.
What more does the Kremlin’s antichrist have to do before the world finally understands that decisive action is needed?
How many more cities must be destroyed? How many more children killed? How many more churches, schools, and hospitals turned into rubble?
Russia’s terror is not directed only against Ukraine. It is an attack on the very principles of international law, human dignity, and peace itself.
Every day of hesitation convinces the aggressor that there will be no consequences. History has taught this lesson many times: evil does not stop on its own.
The question is no longer what the Kremlin will do next.
The question is how much more the world is willing to tolerate before it finally says: enough.

You call it “their church,” yet the monastery existed in Kyiv centuries before moscow was founded. That’s not history — that’s imperial fan fiction.
Every time russia damages a Ukrainian church, someone appears with a new fairy tale about Patriots, priests, NATO, museums, or Zelensky. Anything except discussing who actually launched the drone.
The roof was hit. The attack happened. The damage is visible.
Do you understand what you’re actually doing with a comment like this?
A Russian drone deliberately struck the roof of the Assumption Cathedral (Uspensky Sobor). Instead of condemning the attack, you’re inventing a story with no evidence and presenting it as fact.
For someone who claims to care about Christianity, there’s a commandment that applies here: “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.”
Making up accusations while a church damaged by a Russian strike is standing behind you is exactly that — bearing false witness.
If you’re a believer, you should be more concerned about spreading lies than about defending those who launched the attack.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strikes are ongoing in Kyiv, as well as in Kharkiv. Last night, the Russians launched more than 60 missiles at the capital alone. In total, 70 missiles and 611 drones were used against Ukraine. As of now, 28 people have been reported injured and four killed in the capital. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. A Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra set the Dormition Cathedral on fire – a church whose history dates back to the 11th century. And this is one of Russia’s most serious crimes against Christian culture to date. The State Emergency Service has already extinguished the fire on the cathedral’s roof. In Kharkiv, the Russians carried out a repeat strike against our rescuers as they were putting out a fire at the site of an earlier strike on an industrial facility. So far, tragically, five people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Nine people have been injured. In Dnipro, Russia struck the grounds of a railway station, a college, and several enterprises.
Other cities and communities were targeted as well. The Kyiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were also under attack. This is how Russia shows the world its intention to continue the war. It is very important that there be a response from the G7 countries, which are now gathering for their summit – and that this response be decisive and substantive: more pressure on the aggressor and more support for Ukraine’s air defense, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. I thank everyone who is helping us protect lives.
Are you really this ignorant, or is historical revisionism just a habit?
The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra was founded around 1051. Moscow would not even exist for another century. It is a monument of Kyivan Rus, the birthplace of Eastern Slavic Christianity, and part of Ukraine’s heritage.
Russia’s connection to the Lavra is not historical — it’s imperial. Claiming it as “Russian” is like claiming ancient Rome belongs to modern Russia simply because Russians later adopted Christianity.
You don’t get ownership of history by invading your neighbors and rewriting textbooks.
I just watched priests trying to save crucifixes from a burning monastery.
This is what russia is destroying.
The Kyiv Lavra is one of the holiest Orthodox sites on earth. A UNESCO World Heritage site.
Moscow calls itself “Christian civilisation.”
It’s literally barbarism.
Russians are far worse than any barbarian hordes in history. They just damaged one of the holiest shrines of Ukrainian Orthodoxy, the Dormition Cathedral (Uspensky Sobor), built in 1078, Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will never forgive Russia😡Never🤬
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Russians on Russia Day. But if you thought that was the most disgusting news of the day, think again: Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar made a blunt statement to Bloomberg:
“India bought oil from Russia 2022 onwards because it was cheap and available, and did so at the request of the US to keep global oil prices low.
At that time, the US specifically asked India to buy Russian oil to stabilize the oil market. I buy oil based on cost and availability.”
And he added that he sees no problem with this:
“Let’s not pretend there’s some great principle involved here. I don’t think making this about sanctimony is really warranted.”
Think about what is being said here. In 2022, when Russian missiles were flying over our cities and the world was imposing “devastating sanctions” against Moscow, Washington was asking India behind the scenes to buy Russian oil. In other words, publicly — sanctions, statements about “isolating the aggressor” and “supporting Ukraine until victory.” But behind the scenes — a request to ensure a stable market for the Kremlin so that, God forbid, gasoline prices wouldn’t rise for American voters.
The fact that India is not just not our ally, but a direct enemy that systematically works in Russia’s interests — has been known for a long time. There were no illusions here. But the value of Jaishankar’s statement lies elsewhere: it provides documentary proof that the U.S. has never been our ally either. At best, they were situational partners for whom the price at the gas station in Ohio always mattered more than the security of the European continent.
It is important to understand: this is the fifth time the US has saved the Russian Empire from collapse. Previous instances here 👉 https://t.co/FSoro6u3iu. The destabilizing factor of the Eurasian region in the form of Russia is extremely beneficial to America, so they are doing and will do everything to preserve it.
But this time, Washington won’t succeed. Thanks to the resilience of the Ukrainian people, we now have the best army in the world and our own defense industry, which can strike the enemy from the temporarily occupied territories to thousands of kilometers deep — without needing anyone’s permission.
Today, we honour the memory of children whose lives were taken by Russia’s aggression.
For more than 12 years, Ukrainian children have suffered from Russia’s war against Ukraine. Hundreds have been killed in Russian strikes and shelling. Thousands more have been affected by Russia’s occupation, or illegally deported and forcibly transferred by Russia.
Russia has killed at least 707 Ukrainian children, injured 2,548, and left 2,317 missing. Due to the temporary occupation and ongoing hostilities, the full scale of Russia’s crimes against Ukrainian children remains unknown.
Today, our thoughts are with the parents, families, and loved ones who have lost their children because of Russia’s aggression.
Every young life cut short leaves a wound that will never fully heal. Russia must be held accountable for the killings, terror, and suffering it continues to inflict on Ukraine and its people.
