I like to comment on a lot of things, including but not limited to: religion, politics and sports. I want everyone to know that even if I disagree with your type of Christian faith, I do not disparage anyone trying to have a relationship with Christ. I do not have any hate toward members of any religion, race, political tribe, sexuality, etc. though I may feel you are wrong in some way. I love everyone and only hope for the best for everyone. If we disagree I can respect everyone's opinion without directing hate at those people. It's a shame this even needs to be said, but many have misinterpreted me or projected stereotypes onto my comments. May God bless you all!

You'll hear a LOT in the media about those two measles deaths today.
Know what you won't hear? If this trial is right, Tamiflu has killed tens of thousands of elderly, sick Americans since 2000, while Roche has made $20 billion on it. And the media's hyped it at every step.
Update: just after I posted this, Pennsylvania reported two deaths from measles, the first in the United States 2026. No word on comorbidities, ages, et cetera, though they were (unsurprisingly) unvaccinated.
Sorry to hear about these deaths. They do not change the broad picture, which is that the media - for political reasons - hyper-focuses on rare infectious disease deaths rather than far more common problems.
Deaths in the US so far in 2026, by cause:
Drowning: approximately 1000 (22 kids in Texas alone)
Mushroom poisoning: 4
Rattlesnake: 3
Lightning: 2
Marathon: 1
Measles: 0
And, oh yeah, overdose: approximately 30000
Let's try to scare people some MORE about measles, huh?
Federal elections and governors, yeah. But the state legislature is usually Rep majority in both House and Senate. Less so than it used to be, dems are at a high water mark in PA right now. Those laws have been on the books decades. State house blocks the worst of the leftist garbage.

Interesting. I was one of those pulled aside in ES, and the Navy approached me my senior year of high school, offering to pay my way for a nuclear physics degree. Would have been accelerated into a 2 year course and then a 6 year commitment. Would have started at a higher rank than normal as well. Looking back I probably should have done it. The thought of being on a nuclear sub or aircraft carrier for months at a time and away from my family discouraged me.
Some of us ended up with one on one tutoring in school in elementary school because of the testing. And they shipped all of us in the district to one of the elementary schools in the district for a special class every other week. Probably racist or sexist or something to do that anymore.

I wasn't a fan until the first time I saw them either. Absolutely blew me away. I had never seen anything like it. It was at one of those outdoor amphitheaters. Pouring rain, thankfully I had a seat under cover. During Slipknot's set I turned around and couldn't see the sky because people were just hurling chunks of mud and earth through the air. Some of the best throws made it to us. So of course we tossed it down to people who couldn't be reached from the lawn. Manson in his prime had a great stage presence (the last time I saw him he was terrible and boring). Judas Priest still had it last I saw them. Avatar might be the best now. Johannes has a stage presence like no other.
Hard to pick, I used to go to so many concerts. Summer Sanitarium tour was pretty high up, first time seeing Metallica and I was about 15 feet from Kirk Hammet shredding the Master of Puppets solo. Opening acts Deftones, Mudvayne, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. There are definitely some Ozzfests up there. One in particular where Judas Priest was the act vefore Black Sabbath, but Ozzy was sick so Rob Halford filled in for him and was amazing. Had I not seen Ozzy a couple times before I'd have been disappointed.

People who work outdoors get more basal and squamous cell carcinomas (which take a LONG time to become deadly, make sure you see a dermatologist if you see any new spots on your skin), but less melanoma. We're meant to spend our time in the sun (responsibly obviously). Not just the vitamin D production but sunlight on exposed skin raises yoir nitrous (nitric? I forget which one) oxide and lowers blood pressure.
LOL...even getting burnt in the sun is NEGATIVELY associated with melanoma
