A few standouts from the Doug’s Dozen Classic 👀 @djones8301
Reese Alston — Electric all weekend. Finished with 27 points and consistently looked 3-4 plays ahead of everyone else. A future McDonald’s All-American and continues to solidify himself as a top-3 PG in the class
Josiah McGowen — Arguably the most underrated player in the state. If you need a 2027 PG, recruit this kid. Dropped 20 in a close loss to Cooz Elite and is even better than advertised
Trey Pinkard — The High Point commit finished with 11 points and 9 assists. Controlled the game, made winning plays late, and operated at a high level in the P&R
Aiden Groce — Poised, polished, and one of the more underrated guards in the state. Love his upside as a lead guard at the next level. Constantly made the right reads
Brodrick Wyatt — Made HUGE plays late finishing with 18 points in a win over RL9. Highly productive player, thats not talked about enough but the production is there. Army Swiss knife prospect
Others who impressed: Marri Wesley Cash Davis Steven McLeod Elijah Daley
Isaiah Santos
Christian Smith
Will Goolsby
2027 6’2 point guard Aiden Groce was a steady presence for AB Elite at the Made Hoops Rivalry Showcase against Power 5, showing his value across the board. He played effectively alongside the other guards, making smart reads and creating opportunities for teammates while also knocking down shots when needed, displaying a feel for pace and spacing within the offense. Groce showed his ability to get to the basket and finish through contact, navigating defenders and putting pressure on the rim, adding another layer to his offensive game, and he complemented it with good on-ball defense, staying engaged, moving his feet well, and making opposing guards work for everything. Overall, he was a valuable piece for AB Elite, providing stability and impact on both ends and helping set the tone for the team throughout the showcase.

‘27 @GroceAiden doesn’t get a lot of attention with such a star studded roster, but he really impacts the game with timely buckets and plays.
