@KatieWa77518755@EducationLaw2 Katie, you’re right! As long as the students are peaceful there’s is no reason why they should not protest. However, they must follow the handbook about they way they dress. @EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
@EmilyLPatrick1@EducationLaw2 Emily, this subject is usually addressed in the handbook. Students should look at the rules and maybe find a way around this while remaining peaceful and not disrupting class instruction. @EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
@EducationLaw2 Students must follow the rules of the handbook. If this is addressed, then the students must follow the rules. They are allowed to protest, but not cause damage or interrupt class instruction. @EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
@KatieWa77518755@EducationLaw2 I agree, Katie. There is a lot that goes into teaching that a lot of parents do not realize. Also, students need social interactions to develop skills. If homeschooling is done efficiently, it can be beneficial, but they need to be held accountable @EducationLaw2#Educationlaw2
@katelynmoore78 @EducationLaw2 I agree!Students need the structure and socialization that is provided with formal schooling. Also, there needs to be a system ensuring the children are doing the work. It does have advantages, but overall I believe formal schooling is the way to go. @EducationLaw2#educationlaw2
@EducationLaw2 I do not believe that homeschooling is ‘equivalent instruction.’ Teachers have to go through years of schooling to learn content and pedagogy, parents do not. Also, hearing the ideas of others can be very beneficial for students. #educationlaw2@EducationLaw2
@EmilyLPatrick1@EducationLaw2 I agree, Emily. Every child deserves education, but some need a modified curriculum. It is unfair to expect every child to be on the same level. Your suggestions could benefit students with disabilities and help them achieve a quality education. @EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
@CarlyTrammel@EducationLaw2 I agree, Carly! Every child deserves access to education. I also agree that funding is probably an issue the opposing looks at, which should not be a factor. Every child can learn, therefore every child should have access to the opportunity to do so.@EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
@EducationLaw2 I agree with IDEIA's zero-reject philosophy. Every child deserves to be educated. It's a teacher's job to reach each child on their individual level. These students should not be excluded from FAPE because of a disability. Everyone can learn.@EducationLaw2#EducationLaw2
