@Blue_Footy I do think there's some smart signings Premier league proven strengthening midfield and defense Also they've started setting a good foundation with the new manager to build on even though they where in a relegation battle Dd Zerbi had them playing some good football.
@Blue_Footy Im honestly tired of the nonsense and disrespect Enzo should be sold if no one comes in with a good offer teach him and his agent a lesson and make him play with the reserves for a few months teach him humility.
@Blue_Footy Yep the problem is he is using the strategy of calling out clubs on the availability on Enzo Real Madrid have been the only club interested if they can get more clubs there could be a bidding war to get to 100m right now Real likely will drive down the price.
@Blue_Footy@kierangill_DM Absolutely funny ready made 🤣. Sure the kid has potential he literally had 1 good season on loan now he is ready made? Positives are Wing back allows him to adapt and develop as theres protection if he makes a mistake also he will have a season to develop without European games.
@Blue_Footy@SkySports If our ownership bids 10m and then backs off then they where never serious to start as Xhaka was arguably one of the best midfielders last season granted he is 33 you have to take into account what Sunderland paid and what he produced last season.
@Blue_Footy@SkySports Yep if they do go in for more than 17m then that shows they willing to invest heavily in the short term if they arent willing to go hard on Xhaka then they weren't serious in the first place.
@Blue_Footy I dont think Garnacho Neto Gittens will do well as Wing Backs as they dont have the defensive acumen it also requires a very very fit player thats why James cannot play WB. Garnacho & Neto will benefit much more in those inside forward positions as they will have more freedom.
@Blue_Footy Yes the fall out and break down of relationship can be blamed on Maresca but we also have to take into account his grievances and why he felt the relationship is no longer tenable. What followed and the disappointing season lies squarely on our ownership.
@Blue_Footy Vince its one thing losing a coach mid season but the decision from our ownership to hire Rosenior vastly inexperienced coach majority of us where like what the hell are they doing mid season. Look at how Tottenham pivoted to a more experienced manager and avoided relegation.
@Blue_Footy Hopefully Chelsea learned their lesson as they are now giving Alonso the Manager title and saying he would have more control, thats all down to Maresca and what he was fighting for before he left.
@Blue_Footy Well obviously after winning that trophy he would of had hunger for more remember when Colwill got injured he said they would get a CB as he doesnt have the right replacement in squad then the messaging changed as he was shot down. Maresca didnt have control even after the trophy
@Blue_Footy We need to invest smartly we keep spending lots of money in attack and midfield and seem to forget about the defense, I would invest at Wing Back CB & a top GK ideally the wing backs should also be able to operate at Full Back. Sort the defense out properly.
@Blue_Footy 100% the market is way overinflated and given our lack of UCL football this year will require more smart recruitment than big investments. Enciso would be a good signing.
@Blue_Footy The ownership will use every angle of PR to distract from their failings. When Maresca left they could of gone hard for a top manager but NO they decided to with inexperience to prove a point which backfired.
@Blue_Footy Fickle minded fans that will play to the fiddle of the PR. Maresca left cause cause our ownership couldn't give him the backing & support in decision making that City will. Our ownership talks about lessons & reflection on what clearly it was what they did wrong with Maresca.
@Blue_Footy Maresca was merely a coach without the backing he would receive at Man City he would obviously move now the PR makes it seem like Maresca just left without reasons. Every Action has a reaction. After Maresca why did the PR change to manager more control on signings ect? PR!
@Blue_Footy Its PR to distract from the decisions they made. Firstly the rift began way before the Man City opportunity after the Club World cup we saw it in press conferences Maresca not getting what he wanted in signings. Secondly they dont mention their hiring of an inexperienced coach.
@Blue_Footy@FabrizioRomano Well this would show us how much they really meant getting experience and backing the manager time to put their money where their mouth was. How much do they value experience short term investment without thinking long term returns. Actions speak louder than words like.
