7. He omitted info from the police report, has a bad temper, whines like LeBron, and would 100% attach himself to a moving car. With Bryan Gillis and Mike O'Connell representing law & order in Louisville, there's no wonder the crime rate is soaring.

๐จ๐ฎ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ฅ #WATCH: Body cam footage from the Scottie Scheffler arrest has been released: โMy wrist hurts, my knee hurts, he almost fโking ran me overโโ
4. The newly-released videos are particularly bad for @LMPD Bryan Gillis. He's frantic, furious, and frayed. When someone throws a cuss-filled tantrum because they can't figure out how to get out of an SUV, the last position they should have is one that wields a firearm.
6. Also observe the careless, disrespectful way that he goes through Scheffler's personal belongings. Beyond the awful conflicts of interest, how the heck does @LMPD Bryan Gillis have a 3rd-party car crash investigation biz with that temperament? You really trust him w evidence?
3. This flagrant, ugly abuse of power by corrupt Mike O'Connell should disqualify him from any job in public service. Imagine being so drunk with power that you demand the photo op of Scheffler being in your courtroom, despite knowing the case will not move forward.
1. Since I made so many posts on this topic, this final thread will be the double bar. As predicted, all charges against Scottie Scheffler were dropped, as this was the only option that would save the @LMPD from complete embarrassment.
2. Corrupt Jefferson Country prosecutor Mike O'Connell, who looked like a complete moron at the first court hearing, knew this from the beginning. He knew everything was going to fall apart, which is why he wanted to drag Scheffler in court before that happened.
@LMPD 12. Regarding corruption in Jefferson County, this article shines a bright light. He sent an email to staff saying he wanted to help one side, and implied someone on the other side was of the "wrong" political affiliation. A local judge reinstated him.

9. What Mike O'Connell knows, and what Scottie Scheffler's attorney, Steve Romines, is counting on, is that more bad info is going to come out regarding the conduct of @LMPD Bryan Gillis. O'Connell wanted the arraignment before that happened, and might not get one now.
11. This is why the case will (eventually) 100% be dismissed. The question is how many hoops Mike O'Connell will force Scheffler to jump through before that happens. With the announcement of an official investigation into the @LMPD's conduct, hoops are likely being removed now.
8. The video also shows that Mike O'Connell is a complete buffoon. He was recently elected to his 4th term as the Jefferson Country prosecutor, fending off two challengers in the democrat primary election
6. Of note: Judge Anne Delahanty worked with Mike O'Connell at the Jefferson County prosecutor's office for several years. For her to be that incredulous over the stubborn stance of her friend and former colleague is telling. It made no sense, and was obviously punitive.
7. This should have been a simple hearing. Instead, Mike O'Connell wanted to flex his power and drag Scheffler. The crime rate in Louisville is sky high, and not prosecuting and releasing repeat offenders is a prime factor. This video shows where O'Connell's priorities are.
5. While still (intentionally!) conflating the legal language of a delay vs a remote trial, O'Connell wanted to force Scottie Scheffler to fly into Louisville the next morning and make a plea on all the charges, even without his lawyer, Romines, present.
4. Even after being corrected by both the judge and Romines, O'Connell continued to argue about a remote appearance. Jefferson County prosecutor Mike O'Connell's motives then became clear:

1. I'm still 99% certain the charges against Scottie Scheffler, who was arrested by @LMPD Bryan Gillis, will be dropped before trial. I said it was 50/50 to happen before arraignment, with the integrity of the prosecutor's office being the dividing point. Whelp, zero integrity!
3. Scottie Scheffler's attorney, Steve Romines, filed a motion to move the arraignment to June. Romines was not with Scheffler when the arraignment date was set, so this is common. Instead, O'Connell gave a vigorous defense against Scheffler appearing by video, a non sequitur.
This is the entire video (not the short clip that is being posted). Jefferson County attorney Mike O'Connell is a corrupt buffoon. He begins with vague rambling about Scottie Scheffler (private jet, he's really not famous, etc.) O'Connell train wreck.

10. Is all this unfair to Bryan Gillis? Perhaps, but the burden of proof is always on the people that have the power to imprison other people. Thankfully, the @LMPD and Bryan Gillis have bodycams for this very purpose! Oh wait...
fin.
1. Prediction (because it's the only path that will save the city of Louisville and the @LMPD from massive embarrassment): all charges against @ScottieScheffler will be dropped, 50/50 on whether that happens before or after his arraignment on Tuesday. ๐ท
9. In the grand scheme of things, this is a tiny story; there are far worse things happening in the US, and even just in Louisville (crime rate!). That said, people realize this incident should have never resulted in Scheffler being dragged to prison. This wasn't Bubba Watson.
