Day 3 of our honeymoon and instead of waking up in Italy, we're at the Hilton Garden Inn at JFK international airport.

Why? Because 3 days ago @united straight up denied us boarding at the gate, even though we had business class tickets we bought a YEAR AGO

This all to say, as a loyal @united customer for years, unless we are compensated significantly for this absolutely miserable experience and for our losses, this is the end of the road for us as a customer of theirs.

@united Doing the same thing all over again and hoping for a different result is mentally draining @united. We have lost THOUSANDS of dollars already and are devastated.

We booked a 5pm flight today with @Delta, and took ANOTHER $100 uber to JFK airport, where we are at our hotel now.

We are then told that the next option for us is the @united 8:40pm flight the NEXT NIGHT. Meaning, another night in a hotel, another two $100+ Ubers, and another ENTIRE DAY of HOPING this flight is actually real, we don't get denied at the gate, and can go on our honeymoon

2 full days later in Newark, our 11:20pm flight they rebooked us on has been CANCELLED. @united at this gate, the only people there were the same 15 people who have been in this same situation with us. Was this a MADE UP flight! How is nobody else at this gate about to board?

@united Being at the airport this long for the SECOND day in a row, we decided to buy @united club passes, because ya know, surely our 11:20pm flight will be getting us to Italy after this shit show, right? While at a gate trying to get standby for an 8:40pm flight, we get a text...

@united Arriving at the gate dripping sweat, they then proceeded to tell us that the flight was full, and closed the door in our faces.

This is 4pm on Thursday. I called customer service and explored every other option, but the next night at 11:20pm was the only available option for 2

@united So we say, let's make the best of this and a night of it, get a hotel in NYC, wake up in manhattan, and enjoy a day in the city before taking another $100 uber back to Newark airport, where we then spent the next 11 hours trying to get on earlier flights standby @united

@united our flight from Chicago to Newark was already delayed 2 hours, we SPRINT across the airport to make it to our gate to fly to our honeymoon in Naples, and they say the flight, that we paid for, is completely full?!
