@lauragraham82@DrDaveT This would mean that the prices of fish would be increased as the encouragement of a more plant based diet would take the pressure off fish populations . All in all expensive fish is a small price to pay for healthy fish populations within the planet.
@lauragraham82@DrDaveT We believe that a combination of reducing fish intake and encouraging a plant based diet would allow fish stocks to recover. Eventually, large scale industrial fishing would become less profitable, allowing for smaller, more sustainable local fishing trade to return and thrive
@Group2313@DrDaveT How does your group feel about deforestation in order to make room for cattle farming? It is one of, if not the biggest cause of deforestation, trumping palm oil production by a large margin.
@ETH4NG92@DrDaveT We think that it's a hard hitting documentary that has exposed the fishing industry for what it is to the general public, something many people are unaware of, which will help to put a stop to these destructive practices.
@ETH4NG92@DrDaveT Definitely bottom trawling. The extreme damage done to the sea bed alongside the enormous amount of bycatch that results from bottom trawling leaves it as the most harmful method of fishing.
