Within 48 hours of the launch of Operation KO S’AYE by Lagos and Ogun State Police Command. The operation has recorded a major breakthrough.
Operatives combing the forest boundaries between Lagos and Ogun States along J3/ J4 axis of Ogbere in Ogun State, successfully rescued five (5) kidnapped victims and neutralised four (4) suspected kidnappers, arrested 4 kidnapping suspects and 84 other suspects, recovered arms ammunition and other exhibits.
The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in ensuring there is no hiding place for criminals, especially kidnappers, through intelligence-led operations and sustained security efforts.

ABIA COMMAND BOOSTS SECURITY DRIVE AS DIG UNDERTAKES OPERATIONAL ASSESSMENT VISIT
1. Today, 15/06/2026, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, South East Zone, DIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, psc, fwc, MNIM, fdc, paid an operational visit to the Abia State Police Command as part of ongoing strategic assessments across commands, in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+) NPM
2. Addressing officers of the Command, DIG Kenechukwu stated that the visit was not ceremonial, but aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing leadership accountability, and ensuring that the policing vision of the current administration is effectively implemented at all levels
3. He commended the Command for maintaining relative calm in the state in recent weeks, as reflected in situation reports. He acknowledged the dedication of officers of the Command in ensuring the safety of lives and property across Abia State.
4. However, he noted that certain security concerns require strategic attention, referencing violent attacks and armed robbery casesin Aba, stressing that isolated incidents must be swiftly addressed to prevent escalation.
5. Speaking on security developments in Umuahia and other areas, the DIG clarified that activities often described as “cultism” are more accurately manifestations of organized youth gang violence. He emphasized the need for intelligence-driven policing strategies to dismantle such criminal networks and curb violence and intimidation.
6. He further highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Police and key stakeholders, including academic institutions, noting concerns about emerging threats within university environments.
7. Reaffirming the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police to officers’ welfare, the DIG assured personnel of ongoing efforts in promotions, improved housing, and pension reforms. He also addressed concerns surrounding discussions on State Policing, assuring officers that their interests remain protected.
8. The DIG announced that the Nigeria Police Force is set to embrace modern policing technologies, including the introduction of Artificial Intelligence into investigative processes, alongside specialized training for officers across State Police Commands and other relevant Formations.

@General_Somto The poster of this should be invited by the police and schooled because there are some vehicles that should never remain in traffic and to the guys shooting the video , they are obviously illiterates and should also be invited and educated by the same police .
