Very excited to present two new dysprosium(III) complexes containing amide ligands 😊😎. Both are single-molecule magnets where one shows remarkable open magnetic hysteresis loops up to 19 K 🥳🤩. Published in @J_A_C_S.

This is a new venture with an artist friend, Matt Bohan. We're hoping to make videos on a variety of science topics at various levels. How many we get to make depends on support, so please visit! If the video was entertaining/useful please like and subscribe. Thanks!
Spartans made a splash at this year's Michigan Inorganic Chemistry Symposium!⚗️
In addition to a great turnout, our graduate students earned awards for their terrific posters and presentations — congratulations all!
Check out our latest publication on ACS Catalysis! Congratulations to all the authors who contributed to this research. Awesome work!👏

Had an absolutely extraordinary time at the Organometallics GRS and GRC events last week! Met exceptional individuals from around the globe, learning about their fascinating research. Huge thanks to the GRS and GRC chairs for organizing this memorable event. #ResearchCommunity
I had the pleasure of taking part in the COGS 15th Annual Graduate Conference, where I had the opportunity to present my research. I am thrilled and deeply grateful to have been awarded the Best Overall Three-Minute Thesis Presentation Award.
We are thrilled to share that our recent article has been featured on the inside cover of Chemical Science, highlighting its significance and contribution to the field. This great honor reinforces our commitment to advancing scientific knowledge through cutting-edge research
We are excited to present the first thermally stable, neutral yttrium(II) complex. The highly reactive Y(II) center was stabilized through two amide ligands, and reacts with isonitriles to isocyanides. Published in @ChemicalScience. @GroupOdom@GroupDemir https://t.co/zFtgxhR1xY
During the MSU chem grad recruiting weekend @MSUChem, our group members had the pleasure of sharing the research conducted by the Odom group with prospective graduate students. It was an enjoyable experience interacting with the students and discussing our work with them.
Today, Hannah led our discussion talking about a paper from Angew. Chemie. Int. Ed.. Di(indenyl)beryllium complex was synthesized using mechanochemical preparation. Very cool paper. Good job Hannah! Paper link: https://t.co/wHbzEx7rjb
