Let's see how this one goes then. Some worrying rumours of Alonso being linked to the people who ruined Charlton but how true they are, I don't know. Let's hope Alonso is the man to take us forward.

@Bretheren The 'eralwbd' Instagram account is Erik Alonso's account. The 'lifewithsarahrae' account is Southall. So it seems they at least have some sort of connection at the very base level, even if we ignore anything others have said.

This is what it was, both sharing it on their Instagram stories. Matt Southall is the man in question. Just got to hope he's nothing more than someone brokering a deal and not someone hanging around for a while.

@Bretheren When the Alonso stuff first surfaced there were a few links on social media to a chap who was heavily involved with Charlton. Fingers crossed it's just speculation and nothing more.

Ultimately this is a good thing. It shouldn't have taken this long to happen but it's a welcome decision. It really doesn't seem like BZI were to be trusted at all. It'll be interesting to see if we ever find out exactly what happened.

It's understood Derby County have given Bin Zayed International a week to close their proposed takeover of the club.

Should they not complete, other interested parties are ready to negotiate a deal for the Rams.

It's thought BZI are still keen, but now have an ultimatum.

This effects the fans too, if we are to assume that ST refunds depend on the takeover - or any takeover - being completed (which they really shouldn't) then fans will once again be expected to just sit patiently whilst waiting for refunds that were promised.
