It’s a 4 coffee day for Lt Murphy when he has to work on payroll.
The Lt works tirelessly behind the scenes on the administrative tasks keeping our patrol officers free to be out on the streets serving the community.

Please help us identify this suspect out of a robbery at our Gport Rd Subway on Monday at 630 PM. Suspect, described as a hispanic male, grabbed the cash drawer then left east on Main St on foot. Contact Det. Sturgill at 614-830-2060 or [email protected] with any info.

Our 3rd shift officers often run into unusual things during late night foot patrol. Last night Sgt Chan took a break with some gigantic, if a bit early, Halloween decorations. Many of our residents really know how to participate in the seasons!!!

Starting Monday Sept. 27 GPD will begin zero tolerance for fire lane violations in front of Groveport-Madison High School.

There is ample parking in the provided lots and never a reason to leave a vehicle unattended in the fire lane.

Officers Herrera and Chavez had a fun time seeing everyone at Groveport’s final Third Thursday of the year.
Third Thursday has been a well attended city event that our officers have enjoyed participating in. It is great that Groveport produces these events for our community.

Yesterday we swore in Adam Greter as your newest GPD officer. Adam comes to us with 5 years of experience and is excited to become a part of our community.
Mayor Lance Westcamp and city council are committed to a well staffed,equipped, and trained police department.

This morning we swore in Kyle Smith as your newest GPD Officer. Kyle, a Groveport grad, comes to us with 7 years of law enforcement experience and looks forward to getting out in the community and meeting everyone.

This morning we swore in Kevin Chavez as your newest GPD officer. Kevin comes to us with 7+ years of law-enforcement experience and over a decade serving our country in the Navy. Kevin looks forward to getting out in the community and meeting everyone.
