It may feel like growing is slowing down, but for us things are ramping up. We have a full list of jobs on the blackboard and are firmly thinking ahead with thoughts on the next growing season. #groweastbourne

Magnificent Mike has put the first of the 5 fruit trees into the area that will be the wildflower area. The Williams pear will be accompanied by cherry and apple also. We are very grateful that Langney Primary will be appointing tree guardians to oversea the welfare of the trees.

Thank you so much to the Hampden Park Shedders and Linda, who handed over this masterpiece! Recycled from a disused table top with our logo lovingly pyrographed into the wood. We’ll be using this to keep track of our planting. Thank you very much 🥰

Our volunteers did an incredible job excavating glass sheets that had been embedded in the ground in an area we have inherited. It was a nasty job but they got it done 🙌🏽 Also transformed a scruffy area into artichoke bed.
So a hot topic on the plot is whether we should let our magnificent willow structure root… and we’ve decided YES 👏 Now a designated crawl space for anyone that can fit through and a creative area to celebrate nature. Here’s some daffodil weaving for your delectation.
