The Amethyst Starling (Cinnyricinclus leucogaster), is one of the most striking birds in Africa. Its dazzling violet-purple plumage isn’t caused by pigment, but by microscopic structures in its feathers that reflect and scatter light. This structural coloration creates an intense metallic sheen that can make the bird look as if it’s carved from polished amethyst, especially in bright sunlight.

I don't know why this hasn't received more publicity, but this fifty-foot sculpture was unveiled recently in South Dakota.
It's called 'Dignity' and was done by artist Dale Lamphere to honor the women of the Sioux Nation.

Humming can flood your sinuses with nitric oxide.
James Nestor is blunt about it. Nitric oxide helps the body deal with bacteria and viruses and it opens blood vessels. That is the same pathway erectile drugs use.
Nose breathing already gives you about six times more than mouth breathing. Humming, he says, multiplies it again, about fifteen-fold. So if your face is stuffed, or a cold is starting, he tells you to hum on purpose.
The move is simple. Keep the mouth closed. Inhale through the nose. On the exhale, hum a low note so the vibration sits in the face, not the throat. A song works. A single “mmm” works. A few minutes is enough. You should feel it in the cheeks and behind the nose.
There is no clean clinical trial. He says that. What he has is his own experience and hundreds of people who felt the pressure move.
Your sinuses already make the gas. The hum just shakes more of it into the air you inhale.
The U.S. House will be in session only 4 full days from July 24th to November 8th.
That’s 100 paid days off versus 4 full workings days plus 4 travel (half) days.
Meanwhile TRUMP says YOU have too many holidays.
Death Valley National Park experienced its first major superbloom in a decade this year, driven by record winter rainfall (1.7 – 2.5+ inches) that transformed the desert landscape with vibrant carpets of yellow, pink, and purple flowers.
Stop waiting for expensive oxygen machines. Do this instead.
Gary Brecka’s simple protocol: three rounds of 30 deep, ribcage-expanding breaths in, then out through a straw, followed by a long hold. It’s the low-tech version of exercising under pure oxygen. No machine required. If you can afford EWOT, use it. If you can’t, this still works.
Most recovery tools get sold as expensive hardware. The effective ones often start as something you can do on the floor with nothing but air.
The body responds to intensity and consistency more than to the price tag on the equipment.
Snow leopard near Karakoram. There could be as few as 4,000 left, however the exact number is unknown as they are extremely elusive.

A single bee can produce 1 tablespoon of honey in its lifetime.
683 bees fly roughly 32,550 miles to gather 5.93 lbs of nectar from about 1,185,000 flowers in order to make one 9.5 oz. jar of honey.
