Everyone, this is Andy! Andy did an exceptional job of cheering up Koala ward staff and patients with his cuddles! Andy, we are grateful for you 🐶🖤 @GreatOrmondSt
My kid explaining my job as a Breast physician to the younger one:
“All the body cells make a cake every day. But one decides to change the recipe & the cake’s horrible!
Mummy has to find which cell & what ingredient has changed the recipe ASAP before the other cells copy it!”
When out on placement, seeing a familiar fury friend, can be the surprise you didn’t know you needed. Buddy & Teddy show our families so much calm and comfort 🐶🧸💙 @GreatOrmondSt
Runs marathons on Sunday, saves brains on Monday.
The incredible @DrAdamRennie casually in today doing angiograms in lead when he ran the London marathon yesterday in 2:47! 🤯
I went to my sons school play. The last time I went to a play he was in mainstream & sat on his own while his class did the play. Today he was so involved & happy. What a difference it makes to be settled & in the correct setting (yes I’m the mum who cried 😅) #Autism
An unexpected visit from Daisy on CICU to see my patient, created a first moment memory with a doggie! Daisy.. you bring so much light to some difficult days 🐶🌼 @GreatOrmondSt@GOSHCharity
To brighten your Monday, take a look at this brilliant mural painted by Marina our Head of Art in the Bear Play Room @GreatOrmondSt
Art is a great way of brightening hospital spaces and helping to distract and engage. We hope it makes the children, families and staff smile.
Meet our newest therapy dog Henry 😍
He had a paw-some first week on our wards last week, visiting our patients and staff to brighten their days. Congratulations on your new role Henry! 🐶
Today our strike action begins, and nursing staff need your solidarity.
