Referee Hill cancelled it about 15 mins before kick off and we weren’t allowed into the ground until The Head of Security sorted it. A real nice guy who paid for pies for us. Super on such a cold night.

Playing a part in two promotions, he was with us from 2000 to 2007. Torpey scored 76 goals in 280 appearances and set up countless others for the strikers who partnered the targetman.

Peter Swann tells Iron Bru a deal to sell #SUFC is “as close as it has ever been”. Understand two consortiums are still at the negotiating table. Deal not done. Very fluid situation. Swann says he hopes to conclude a deal soon as “the club needs investment”.
