Where did all the smart people go?
Now it's t-shirts, tracksuit bottoms and mums dressed in their pyjamas, driving their children to school (the school that is usually 200 yards away, at the bottom of the road).
Yes, we've become scruffy and lazy!
Look closely and you’ll see the ghostly figures of the first Londoners ever photographed. This 1839 daguerreotype is the oldest surviving photo of London. Taken by M. de St. Croix 187 years ago, it shows Parliament Street from Trafalgar Square with the equestrian statue of King Charles I at Charing Cross.
Bygone Britain was a place where you could live in a quiet, beautiful old train station with the only disturbance being the wholesome sound of steam trains and their cheery drivers. ⏳️
"You shouldn't be getting a medal for being robbed by your own government."
Betty Brown 92, the oldest surviving victim of the Post Office Scam was outraged about being in the New Year Honours List.
We want compensation and prison sentences not worthless medals.
Yes taxpayers, last night Labour really did decide to give Pakistan £153 MILLION in aid! … because they struggle with getting their own citizens to pay tax!
And they did this even though Pakistan has refused to take back a grooming gang boss saying it’s our own fault 🤡
Every Argentine player in the English Premier League who took part in this ugly anti-British display should be stripped of their UK work visa. There should be zero tolerance for this.
No words are big enough right now to overcome this empty feeling in the stomach. We were close, really close to another final but it wasn’t enough. We’ve given everything over these last 7 weeks and to fall short is hard to take!
I know the expectations are high and rightly so, we’ve been knocking on the door for 8 years now but again are missing that final piece of the jigsaw! That’s where we have to go away, process it and find a way to get better. I’m so proud of the boys and what we have shown throughout this tournament - some tough games and tough environments that we have overcome.
Some memories that will stay with us players and I’m sure you fans for a long long time! Going for glory doesn’t always mean you will get it. You have to fight for it, get knocked down, pick yourself up and go again and that’s what we will do, there’s no other way but to keep believing and keeping pushing.
Thank you to every single fan that travelled and showed their support in the stadiums. Thank you to every fan back home for believing in us. Thank you to the boys and staff for everything you have given. As always Win or lose, we learn and go again! 🏴🦁
Please back up your claim that I publicly - or privately- attacked Nigel Farage.
You won’t find anything because it’s never happened.
You’ve literally made stuff up.
And you call yourself a ‘journalist’?!
Keir Starmer a man with so little integrity he called to abolish the Monarchy then accepted a Knighthood. Pledged never to appoint a peer, makes Sadiq Khan a peer. The most disingenuous PM in living memory.
Starmer: “I’ve left Britain in a better place”:
Wide open borders
Record taxes
String of scandals
Record energy bills
Two-tier justice
Disastrous energy policy
A joke on the world stage
Islamism unchecked
Enemies emboldened
Territory sold off
Ordinary people maligned
Failed on grooming gangs
Free speech eroded
No idea what he’s doing
Widely loathed
Most unpopular PM in history
Good riddance!
Aren’t you the minister for safeguarding women against violence?
And you have to apologise for what you tweeted after a fellow female politician was violently murdered?
Isn’t that a resigning matter?
Gutted I didn’t get chance to come back to studio post the commons debate re immigration.
I thought I was going to spontaneously combust listening to that.
Completely out of touch with how millions & millions of people think & what their concerns are.
This country is becoming a basket case 🤯
I worry for our future, I really do 😔
Just emerged Ann Widdecombe’s murder WAS terrorist related.
Remember at the weekend police at Devon and Cornwall repeatedly saying the murder of 78-year-old Ms Widdecombe wasn’t connected to terrorism.
Well, now counter terrorism police have been called in after “ new information and evidence has come to light”.
That 28-year man arrested for murder at his home in Rotherham had been further arrested for preparing or instigating terrorism.
I presume it followed analysis of his phone and computers.
It exonerates Farage who was always quizzical at the official explanation and made his journalistic critics look like idiots.
Even while Devon and Cornwall were saying there was no terrorist link it was being reported that counter terrorism officers were at the Rotherham arrest.
Why would they have been there if there hadn’t been a clue?
More importantly this news must put the fear of God into sitting Reform MPs.
All MPs should receive extra security from now on.
