The Shibui Universe is the embodiment of what we dreamt to create. A universe that ties all of our stories together and makes it feasible for everyone to check out. Ranging from the Desert of Setra in the west to Fukushu Bay in the east - you can finally see it all in it's entirety!

We are going multi-chain

We have hinted at it forever, (raise your hand if you caught it🤚) but now it's happening.

But how? Why?

Let me explain:

Why multi-chain?

There are a lot of great chains out there
- Polygon, Solana, Ethereum, Cardano, Zilliqa -
& the list goes on & on.

But an issue that NFT projects have to overcome still is chain maximalism.

People prefer their own chain for a reason and tend to only stay within their bounds. We want to overcome and change that, to become a truly multi-chain community.

We are our own thing.

We are not defined by the chains we work on.

How will it work?

Within our universe there are many cultures, all of them with their own lore and stories.

There are:

▪️ The Lightwalker Clan of Zillarnia
▪️ The Lacus people of Lake Shanakai
▪️ The Montes Giants of the Upper Mountains
▪️ & many, many more.

The Lightwalkers have their home on @zilliqa.

Others will find a different home on a new chain.

Through this we are able to expand our community, reaching people that may have never found us otherwise. But now we are able to bring them within our universe, seamlessly tieing them into our world and community.

We've worked for over a year with a lot of great minds to make this expansion meaningful and purposeful, tieing together this whole universe and all it's stories, but more on that tomorrow!

Whats the next step?

Our first and most important step leads us to:

Fukushu Bay is a wild place filled with drunks, scallywags, salty sea-dogs, and no-goods.

In a turn of events, a ruby has found its way there - a ruby that has the power to alter the fate of the entire Baransu realm. Captain Vane has his own goals, though, for which he could use the ruby plenty..

Why Ethereum?

Out of all the above mentioned chains - why ETH? First and foremost we want to say - this is not an evaluation of how good we think any chain is. They all come with their perks and drawbacks, and Ethereum is no different.

We have chosen it for a very simple reason:

It is by far the biggest

Being able to set a foundation within the massive NFT community that ETH holds will make every step forward for us so much easier and, most importantly, will put us on the map, giving Shibui the ability to speak about what we are doing, and our very specific use case and utility on the biggest stages within NFT crypto.

What does all this mean for Zilliqa?

Nothing, pretty much.

We are on great terms with the Zilliqa team and have talked to them about our plans, for which they fully support us! (#ZilFam strong)

We are not leaving Zilliqa behind in any sense.

We are just expanding to new chains.

Through this, we even hope to be able to bring new people into Zil, people that are native to other chains but become interested in our project and what we are building!
