I have my question to the "Stop focusing on Shadow" crowd? If you were to put the focus on other characters, what's your game plan How are you going to market it to the people outside of the Sonic Community? What are you going to do if it bombs? What are you going to do if it succeeds? If you're making a game to fit into the theme, how are you going to market that? Will outside people care? Will Sonic fans themselves care?

It would be nice to put focus on the other characters but with all those questions, you have taken into account that you need to be prepared for it. While fans have infinite time on their hands, Sega and Sonic Team don't.
