Wrapped up my pathology elective today.
Truly a privilege to witness the journey from specimen to diagnosis, learn from passionate educators, and see the teamwork behind every pathology report.
Everyone’s willingness to help and teach reminded me how generous this profession is.

Today i Got to see my own heart for the first time (The pic has my aortic valve) (Perks of having an echo technician friend) and observed a frozen sample being processed and diagnosed

@bee0_0i Yes definitely!! Getting used to pbl and knowing how to utilize it and managing ur time with research tasks + getting used to the new useless lecture style and intense load and knowing what to focus on is so important and unfortunately you have to try first to get that skill😅

@HRami67 And for how they remember i myself honestly dont know how they do it i keep getting fascinated how they’re differentiating they tell me your eye starts to get used to it
Obviously needs a lot of training hence why you need 5 years😅😩

The resident had us trying to identify the organ microscopically and we couldn’t figure it out until she told us to look at the actual slide with our eyes….
One of the very few specimens where you can actually make out the organ’s silhouette on the slide
This was so funny😭

@HRami67 The reticularis was is deeper than what I captured 😭

but in this one you can see the transition between them + zona retucularis at the lower part of the pic

Today i asked for slide souvenirs cause i really wanted to own one of them and the resident gave me some of her extra ones and wrote good luck on it ☹️
I examined one of them and found a heart. Ill take this as a sign
