Truthfully, I don't understand the obsession with keeping JB no matter what, unless it's for Giannis, outside of fandom purposes. The title window starts and closes with Tatum. We have a better player already.

Trading DWhite is also an available option, it’s just the amount of money JB makes is what makes him the focal point in the trade conversation, in my eyes.

The goal is to build the best possible team around JT. If Brown's strengths largely overlap with Tatum's, and if Brown can be converted into multiple pieces that better complement JT/C's, the team could become better even if none of those individual pieces are as good as JB...

If you fill the team around JT w/ guys who elevate around his strengths, who's to say that isn't a championship team? JB's best attribute is putting the ball in the basket. We have a guy who does that at a higher level. The goal isn't to replace JB w/ a player as good as JB.
@TurdFNOLA5 I think two picks would be the most reasonable. The 27' pick and then whatever pick downline. I don't see it being a huge lopsided trade going towards the Celtics' favor.

People view trading JB as a net lost due to the gap in talent, but what they miss is that the play style would change as well. The ball would probably move more, making the Celtics less predictable.

Yeah I knew this shit was over at the half. I couldn’t, in good conscience, choose the Knicks to win the finals, but the momentum they had just felt like they were going to win it. Congratulations to them.
