@compliantvc Public transport works well for you because everyone in your entire home town is going to the same three places. Just my wife's workplace and my own are over 30km apart. The US has a lot of sparse land. You do not. This changes what is optimal. Use your brain.
@F0ODHub I'm spreading refried beans, queso chihuahua, and pico de gallo over the top of it. You'll hate me until you try it. It is genuinely change your entire world level good.
I really hate the uncslop grandpa bait that's like "How many of these did you use growing up?" and it's like, a landline phone, a gameboy advance, an ipod shuffle, an abacus for some reason, and then some freebie like windows XP.
@tom_barmadillo IMO moral duty of care evaporates when it isn't reciprocal. They fulfilled none of their own moral duty of care when they had authority/power. Swarmed the country like locusts, left us with a wasteland, now wondering why we aren't eager to give them what the remains produce.
@justalexoki Youtube was nothing until about 2006. Online gaming was for ultra nerds and was very difficult to do until about 2002. Shockwave Flash losing favor has been a very big deal. Mass piracy with things like Limewire used to be even a normie thing. Copying physical media to share.
@EbonhardtTV Honestly, good if they did. MMOs are about a journey but at some point they became about nothing but fucking LFG and frustrating mass-group raiding content.
@riqsz5 Working late AFTER my shift, tasks done, retail as a teen. Some manager came out legit yelling at me for sitting down saying my area wasn't perfect so why would I sit on my shift? Said "You're right I could be sitting somewhere I don't have to hear you." Left. Never came back.
@shawmakesmagic Not making claims one way or the other, but this is a great way to explain "emergent properties" when a whole becomes more than the sum of its parts due to some redefining threshold being reached. I.E: evolution reached the ability to self-perceive and self-police with humans.
@sailrstarscream This is not the parent's fault. There is no english word for 'mitten' or 'glove' that starts with S. There is a big indication at the top of the page that it is supposed to start with S. That isn't a guess or assumption, the inked print literally says "Phonics: Ss"
@growing_daniel Realistically, spelling a word is an education/information/exposure issue, not an intelligence issue. The way she talks though? That's not excusable.
@BretWeinstein Anyone can whine in prose, but making it impactful, legible, and still inspiring? Not easy. To this loon? It's apparently unapproachable.
@UltraLinx You stop being angry when you realize this is not 'Americans' but actually just 'Americans over age 60' and all of that wealth is equity in the homes they purchased for like $80,000 15 years ago.
