In trading as you grow, you’ll learn that often a trading strategy isn’t enough, you still need to work on your personal character.
Like delayed gratification, discipline, emotional intelligence and self control.
Everyday you hear “study during the weekend.”
But you’re still confused about what that actually means?
Then this post is for you ↴
Studying doesn’t always mean learning something new.
Sometimes the best study session is going back to your trades from the previous week and asking yourself simple questions.
➣ Why did I lose this trade?
➣ Was there a lapse in the pattern/setup I normally trade?
➣ Was my analysis correct but my execution poor?
➣ Did I enter too early?
➣ Did I ignore confirmation?
➣ Did I break one of my own rules?
You’d be surprised how much progress you can make just by properly reviewing your own mistakes.
The goal when studying is to know whether the problem came from your strategy or from YOU not executing the strategy properly.
Then you start to prepare for the new week.
Mark out your important levels before the market starts moving.
This is roughly how I like to break mine down:
➣ Weekly TF: Overall market structure and any important dealing range.
➣ Daily TF: Identify the major targets price could potentially trade towards.
➣ Hourly TF: Major KeyLevels, Understand the current orderflow and how price is delivering within the higher timeframe idea.
➣ M15, M30 & H1: for Refining your entries and waiting for your confirmations.
By the time the new week begins, you shouldn’t be opening your chart completely clueless and trying to figure everything out in real time.
You should already have an idea of:
➣ Where price is.
➣ Where price could be going.
➣ What levels matter.
➣ And what exactly you need to see before taking a trade.
That is studying too.
Weekend study is not about consuming another 10 hours of trading content every Saturday and Sunday.
Sometimes you already know enough.
You just need to review better, prepare better and execute better.
Have you studied today ??
Since this is a new month, as promised since July, I’ll be investing $2,000 every month to kickstart a lot of traders who currently don’t have an account to trade with.
If you don’t have a trading account yet, repost this post and comment:
“I need an account.”
That’s all.
Let’s see how many people here still don’t have an account yet.
When I started trading in my 100 level as a Pharmacy student, technical analysis was one of the things I struggled with the most.
I remember learning Break of Structure back then and arguing with my mentor that it only worked on a few pairs.
Same thing with CHoCH. I would see people explain these concepts so easily, but when I went back to my own charts, it felt completely different.
At some point, I genuinely thought maybe some of these things just didn’t work the way people claimed they did.
But with more screen time, more studying & journaling, more chart work and constantly seeing the same things play out, everything gradually started becoming clearer.
Concepts that once looked complicated became normal. Things I used to overthink started becoming easy to identify.
This is why, if you’re still in your learning phase right now, don’t be too hard on yourself.
Everyone you look up to today once struggled with something they now make look easy.
-Nobody starts trading already understanding everything.
Keep learning. Keep practicing. Keep giving yourself more time with the charts.
One day, you’ll look back at the things confusing you today and wonder why they ever felt so difficult.
It gets easier.
It gets better with time.
Wins will make you feel like you’ve figured everything out.
Losses will make you feel like you know nothing.
Both feelings can deceive you.
A win doesn’t suddenly make every decision you make correct, and a loss doesn’t erase everything you’ve learnt along the way.
- Take confidence from your wins.
- Take lessons from your losses.
But never let either one change who you are too much.
The goal is to stay composed enough to keep thinking clearly through both.
Because in the long run, you’ll experience plenty of each.

As much as I am an advocate of cohabitation before marriage, it's actually not as easy as I may have made it seem.
At first, the man will be excited because he has seen free toto (for those who are having sex).
Then, after doing multiple rounds almost every day, he starts to feel 'caged' and may be looking for excuses to send the lady away.
His friends cannot visit him like they used to, and he will also not have all those sneaky links in his house because you're occupying their space.
I felt the same way too when I started cohabiting with my wife right from my 200-level year.
Imagine two young people living together, having frequent sex, and doing things together like going to school and making sure that we are looking out for each other.
You'll feel choked.
The only break that we had was during holidays when school was closed for the semester or session.
But after the first year, it became part of us and we got used to it. And that's how we lived together until we graduated from school and continued during NYSC.
Today, we are married.
And we have been living together as husband and wife for almost 20 years, and our cohabitation during our dating years made settling down as husband and wife much easier. But it still did not prevent us from fighting.
Our first 5 years of marriage were still very tough. However, those fights were not because of our not understanding each other or knowing our flaws.
We already went past that stage.
They were mostly because of other things caused by me.
I married at the young age of 29, and most of my close friends were still single and 'balling'.
My wife wanted me to start acting like a married man, but I wanted to continue acting like a 'Married Bachelor'.
She had settled in faster as a married woman, but my eyes were still wandering (still are, but not as much).
So, for you young people who are planning to cohabit or already cohabiting, you'd most likely experience the same things.
If you persevere, you'll overcome it.
If you love your girlfriend, you'll never get tired of her toto, and you'll always appreciate her presence around you.
Remember, it's that same toto that you'd be fucking for the rest of your life if you marry her.
And it's that same person that you'd be seeing for the rest of your life if you marry her.
Cross that hurdle now, so that marriage will not be like a battlefield for you in your early years. Your quarrels will not lead to her running away to her father's house or threatening divorce at the slightest quarrel.
I hope you understand.
End.
@TradingComposur Understanding probability isn't accepting that losses happen . it's accepting that several losses can happen in a row and still be completely normal.
@iamdakejr Facts👌. The charts test your strategy, but the journey tests your character. Protecting your mental health is just as important as protecting your capital.
