@LukaToBron Plus he can be used as a playmaking hub and is way stronger so he’s a better post defender. Chet’s a better defender overall but offensively there’s a wide wide gap
@LukaToBron Chet is way too limited offensively to even be put in the same convo as him imo. Hes not a real stretch big cuz his release is too slow and can’t put the ball on the floor consistently. Kat is the best driving big man itl other than like Giannis and has actual gravity
@isojay914 I think it was important cuz it worked and logic dictates the closer u get to the basket the easier to score. Post scoring is gonna be more valuable the slower the game gets.
@isojay914 Maybe only reason why I’m high enough on Duncan’s scoring is cuz of the era he played in. 2000s is the only era that shit would lead to good enough offense. KG was definitely better offensively in a vacuum but as a number 1 I’m not as a high.
@isojay914 Maybe cuz of the offense but defensively think kg would still do his thing he can do more defensively . I wouldn’t say either guarded shaq well in 03. I do think Duncan being a better scorer gives him a serious edge
@womenofthehours@isojay914 He technically is a bad defender but mainly due to a lack of effort when he faces bad teams. He always shows up in the marquee matchups (against okc in the reg season this year for example) and in the playoffs. Even the on off data shows that teams defense is better with him on
@isojay914 But it doesn’t really take away from him as a player, just think his offensive game as a “1” coming off the bench is good enough cuz of his footwork from villanova . The random ass floater and shit
@isojay914 Idk what people expect from a 5th starter caliber guy, not every team is the 2024 Celtics talent wise. He’s unorthodox for sure but just like every other role player he has strengths and weakness. I will say I think his playstyle works way better as a 6th man then a starter
@c4Bostonn Not a Celtics fan but brown is a good defender he just doesn’t try in the reg season but when there’s a star player he usually tries. Hes pretty bad off ball tho
@roadto80pct It’s not reputation based he just doesn’t try. When he matches up against stars he does pretty well if he’s playing the wizards he’s horrible. Also just bad off ball he’s still great on ball tho when he tries. In the playoffs the defense is way better with him on the court
