These beautiful clay cliffs lie 10 km west of Omarama. They consist of gravel and silt formed over a million years ago. The Cliffs are on private land, so there is a small admission fee. Just turn onto Quailburn Rd off SH8 and then onto unsealed Henburn Rd.

We love the swing bridges in New Zealand. They usually take you over a canopy of native trees or high up over a river. They are a very safe way of getting from one side to another. This swing bridge is found the Abel Tasman National Park in the Upper South Island.

If you head out 18.5 km west of Wanaka, along the Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road, you'll come to start of the the beautiful Diamond Lakes walk. You will need a good level of fitness, plus your camera for all those great photos. Well worth the effort!
