Today marks 6 months sober. Not a drop of alcohol in 6 whole months. Did not think I’d be able to make it this far. Feel unbelievably better and actually quite proud of myself. To some this is a small thing but for someone who has struggled with alcohol… massive. #Sober
If you think AI is ‘hype’ and will not affect jobs in a way we’ve never ever, ever seen… I think you’re burying your head in the sand.
All of the top tech minds are saying we’re in for unbelievable change very soon. Like couple of years.

AI is moving faster than our ability to adapt. Some will lose their jobs before we even figure out new ones for them…
Do you think AI will lead to more equality or just deepen the gap between rich and poor?

I can absolutely see why the house buying process is so widely hated.
6–7 weeks in, everything moving nicely, then our lender down-valued the property. So now it’s back to negotiations and hoping the whole thing doesn’t collapse.
Can someone explain why sellers aren’t required to get an independent professional valuation before listing? Too many properties seem to be priced based on estate agents telling vendors what they want to hear.
Really hoping it gets resolved, because if not we’re already around £1,200 down with nothing to show for it.
@Jenny_1884 I wouldn’t say having an app nowadays is particularly tech savvy but most of the ones by us offer coin payments still. I haven’t carried coins in about 2 years 🤣
@solaidback69 Much better way. These are clearly being led by the estate agents giving the biggun to secure their business and making sellers thing they’ll get a set amount when the house is worth almost £20k less!

Well that’s exactly the same thing/outcome. The house was valued much less than we agreed, the knock on effect was mortgage company wouldn’t lend. Either way you describe it, end result is the same.
The house was overpriced to start with in hindsight so the value of the property was key. We can borrow much much more than that, but not for that house (because of the value 😉)
Spending the last few months on Rightmove, one thing is for certain. 80% of homes are absolutely atrociously decorated.
Not saying in LLB but Jesus Christ. Lots of them are nice houses just done out really, really badly.
@jessalinecaine Came home from travelling in 2023 and got a job in a month. Didn’t realise how lucky I was. Appreciate the job market has changed a lot in the last few years. Keep at it sure you’ll land something soon with that experience and your qualifications!
