unlearn shame. all forms of shame: unemployment, illness, vulnerability, longing, desire, errors, failures. you do not need to feel ashamed of what you are experiencing or living. freedom and shame cannot coexist.

We may have an Afrophobia and xenophobia problem in South Africa, but Islamophobia has never been a thing here. Whoever is coordinating this campaign has overreached with this latest narrative shift.
I went to a school with a big Muslim community. We knew that school ended at 12.00 on Friday to allow our Muslim classmates to attend their prayers. I am appalled by the Islamophobia we are seeing in response to this appointment. Muslims are a big & important part of SA.
Poverty is a cruel thing because there's a segment of people caught up on this xenophobia because they GENUINELY believe immigrants are the reason they go to sleep hungry living with no security while having to see others on their phones live lavishly, poverty corrupts the mind💔
Some of us we will forever stand for the unity of Africa 🌍
So it is okay; you can keep your afrophobia votes and not vote for our political parties that are advocating for peace and unity of Africa 🌍
Aluta Continua ✊✊✊
The right to protest peacefully is enshrined in our democratic constitution and one of which we’re all proud. It is the dehumanisation of fellow Africans through derogatory language and acts of violence, both of which have been on display for weeks now, that we cannot condone.
Good morning. There is no progressive action that punches down on the poor and desperate. There is nothing to gain from Africans dividing themselves instead of uniting to punch up against the real oppressions that make this continent struggle. Nkosi sikelela iAFRICA.
Dignity is a cornerstone of our constitution. Being in a country illegally doesn't automatically strip people of their inherent dignity. We suffered unthinkable atrocities for centuries at the hands of white power. That's why dignity a core element of who we are as a people.
Just finished watching the Earth, Wind, and Fire documentary. You can eat all the healthy foods for decades but adverse childhood experiences will take you out everytime. Goodness.
Some people spent so much of their lives trying to survive that they never got the chance to learn how to swim, speak a foreign language, play an instrument, travel, or simply explore life beyond work and responsibilities. That’s a side of poverty we rarely talk about.
