The only thing that stood out to her is /Pepsi/. Waterโs nice but Pepsi beats it.
โPepsi.โ
Sheโs poking at the pastry. Sheโs tempted to try it.
โMy people were cooks but never made anything like this before. Itโฆlooks good.โ
"Wine? Juice? Pepsi? Water?"
She threw out some options before chuckling at the question about the food. She forgot how rare these were outside of her home country.
"It's like...a light, savoury pastry."
โโฆDepends. What do you have?โ
Her brain harkens back to days where sheโs downing tiger sushi and kombucha. And it doesnโt amount to /this/.
Yorkshire puddings looked unfamiliar. Sheโs gazing at it, wondering to herself, โBiscuit? Some dessert?โ
"No, no. You sit your pretty self down there, I won't be long."
And, as promised, the paranormal scholar would be back with food soon enough, placing it on the table in front of them. Two plates full of gammon, mashed potato, assorted vegetables and Yorkshire puddings.
"Drink?"
Honestly, Sera couldnโt help but look. Stare. Beatrice has that grace. Itโs nice.
โGo onโฆbring it through here.โ She placed her purse on the table, โYou need help? An extra pair of hands wonโt hurtโฆโ
"Not regretting that choice, I hope."
It didn't seem like Beatrice was intentionally showing off her body, but the way she walked made it all sway so nicely
"I'll bring the food through here, hm?"
She has a point. Canโt argue it. Sera makes herself at home. Sorta. Sheโs leaning on the nearest chair.
โWell, thanksโฆโ She shrugs, โI donโt get much company either, soโฆitโs just a sign that I should start connecting with people. You so happened to be the oneโฆโ
"It's not a competition, Sera."
Beatrice softly guided the other in, hand brushing against her waist softly.
"I wanted to reward you, for keeping me company recently. It's been good for me."
Her eyes were wide. Tris outdid her by miles. Seraโs the thrift store Barbie. Thatโs how she felt. She steps in, the smell of food hitting her nose. There was some serious cooking happening.
But firstโฆ
โYou look a million times better. You /really/ got dolled up! Seriously.โ
Tris would take a little bit to open the door, but that would be offset by the smell of warm food coming out the door when it /was/ finally opened.
"Hey! You're looking good."
Beatrice looked the other up and down before the door opened up more, letting her in
Aaaand, after running the use of public transport into the dirt. Sheโs at Beatriceโ place, right at the front door. Sheโs casual. Could have went with skirt but she wasnโt feeling girly-girl tonight.
Ding-dong. Thatโs the doorbell.
