Vtuber Leaflit wanted to make Vtubing accessible for the masses.

So she created, with AI, a tool to create and rig vTuber avatars and of course, everyone lost their minds.

The slander and attacks are unhinged.

You have to understand, creating a quality vTuber avatar often reach thousands of dollars now.

The wait time are very long. Artists who can rig are especially in high demand.

Some of these artists have gotten very pricy, picky and even arrogant.

Many vTubers are turned down because of their political beliefs.

So she turned to AI and showed how effective it can be to create basic vTuber avatars. This threatens the entire cottage industry. What used to cost thousands is now going to drop to zero.

Rigging is very tedious process of getting a 2D or 3D image ready to animate. It can be completely automated with AI and the quality is only going to get better.

So when vtubers on the "wrong side of history" and others keep getting turned down by these artists, and beginners can only resort to generic free starter kits, what do you expect will happen when a tool to create high quality vTuber avatars come along?

Leaflit didn't create this situation. If anything, the vTuber riggers and artists refusing service to anyone other than anti-AI and left leaning streamers did. I have zero sympathy for this trend in art and applaud Leaflit's and other upcoming rapid tools that will democratize this for everyone with zero politics.
