@Rory_Johnston IMO it is way more palatable to think that they have been restraining themselves rather than "gradually losing control", as they have proved that they have the means to bomb the hell out of everyone. Big picture, they are still pressing the US big time (look at USTs).
@LukeGromen Hi Luke, you usually consider the ratio oil/gold production as a proxy for the fair GOR price ratio, assuming gold-priced commodities. However, if annual gold mined was 0, GOR would not be infinite. Am I getting it wrong? Is there another way to measure the "fair GOR"? Thanks!
@LukeGromen I have a question about gold/oil ratio: you usually use oil/gold production to gauge the "fair ratio". However, this would become infinity if gold mining stopped, which I think makes no sense. What am I getting wrong/could we use other proxies for relative market size?
@LukeGromen Hi Luke, in the past you have mentioned that a decrease in shale oil price could be negative for US manufacturing. This is a complex dynamic for me, since cheaper oil should mean cheaper manufacturing. However, it also means a decrease in rig counts. Can you expand on this?
