This war is literally squeezing the blood out of Ukraine. What a heavy, horrible night for the entire country, especially for Kyiv. It's just a stunning coincidence how the residents of the capital are greeting this morning, right after yesterday's conversation between Trump and Putin.
💔 Elia had inherited the apartment from her family. Her grandparents raised her from childhood.
Now that Russian attack destroyed her home, the only thing she has left is the memory of her loved ones.
Today, the Russians once again openly and absolutely cynically declared that they are “not in the mood” for a ceasefire. Russia wants to wage war. Even brandishing some threats. This means the pressure the world is applying isn’t hurting them enough yet, or they are trying very hard to keep up appearances. Well, the Russian economy is already crumbling. We will support this process even more. Ayatollah Putin can look at his friends in Iran to see where such regimes end up, and how far into decay they drive their countries.
Last night, the Russians launched massive attacks on Odesa, Kharkiv, and their outskirts using more than twenty strike drones. Around 20 people were injured, including 2 children – girls aged 12 and 17 – and 3 State Emergency Service workers who had arrived at the scene of the strikes. Tragically, 1 person was killed in Odesa. My condolences go out to the family and loved ones.
In total, 86 drones were launched against Ukraine last night, most of them Russian-Iranian Shaheds. Once again, residential buildings, ordinary businesses, civilian infrastructure, and vehicles were set ablaze. I thank our rescuers – 132 employees and over 30 units of equipment were deployed at the sites. In the Kharkiv region, response efforts are still ongoing.
Russia continues its tactics of deliberate terror against our people. And it is precisely for this that it must face a strong response – one that will significantly impact Russia as a whole and its ability to continue the war. The G7 countries and the EU know the recipe: strong pressure, sanctions targeting the energy sector and the shadow fleet, and a $30 price cap on Russian oil. The sooner the sick minds in the Kremlin lose the ability to finance the war, the more lives we will be able to save in Ukraine.
I receive regular reports from Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko and our military commanders on the aftermath of Russia’s massive strike. More than 440 drones and 32 missiles were used. Kyiv has faced one of the most horrific attacks. Also, overnight, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Kyiv regions were attacked.
Right now in Kyiv, efforts are underway to rescue people from under the rubble of an ordinary residential building — it's still unclear how many remain trapped. The Russians destroyed an entire section of the apartment block. In total, buildings in eight districts of Kyiv have been damaged. Response efforts are still ongoing after the strike on Odesa. Emergency workers are operating at all the sites of impact. All the affected are receiving the necessary assistance. 75 people have been reported injured. As of now, 15 people are confirmed dead. My condolences to their families and loved ones.
Such attacks are pure terrorism. And the whole world, the United States, and Europe must finally respond as a civilized society responds to terrorists.
Putin does this solely because he can afford to continue the war. He wants the war to go on. It is wrong when the powerful of this world turn a blind eye to it. We are in contact with all partners at every possible level to ensure an appropriate response. It is the terrorists who must feel the pain, not innocent peaceful people.

Russia's attack against Kyiv tonight is likely the largest mass drone attack against a civilian population in world history.
This is the difference. Ukraine attacks bomber jets at military airbases. Russia attacks children sleeping in city centre apartments.

Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna was tortured to death in Russian captivity, The Guardian
Her body was returned without eyes, brain, or larynx. Burn marks on her feet. Stab wounds. Broken rib. Signs of strangulation. 1/
Russia has returned the body of the 27-year-old Ukrainian journalist Viktoria Roschyna who was kidnapped by Russia while investing FSB abductions in Zaporizhzhia 2 years ago.
The Russians returned her body without her eyes, brain and part of her larynx.
Its believed they were removed to cover traces of torture.
However, an autopsy by the Ukrainians confirmed signs of abuse: bruises, broken ribs, neck wounds and traces of electric shocks.
