@NTLive Haha, love this clip, when we went to see it my bf heckled "there's another one here" while pointing to me, causing a little ripple of "and here"s through the audience ...terrible theatre etiquette (sorry!) but a fun memory!
@potteriesbuses ... passengers and driver, which caused a lot of distress amongst others including the lady next to me who had a panic attack. Just seemed this could've been easily avoided if first driver communicated situation or 2nd driver accepted the 'story' of the 40+ passengers boarding!
Out of interest, what is the protocol when a @potteriesbuses breaks down? Should the broken bus wait with passengers to get them boarded on the next bus, or should it leave and passengers have to pay again on next bus causing disagreements, leading to threats, and panic attacks?
@potteriesbuses It was 39/39a hanley-tunstall at approx 5pm that broke down and not sure if 39/39a or 103 that picked us up afterwards with very unaccommodating driver. I personally didn't have to pay again as I have a pass but others did and when this was refuted led to aggression between pa...
@potteriesbuses Yeah, I understand that - it's just so frustrating because I don't see who benefits from us waiting outside Hanley when the bus could arrive at time it used to and wait in station. And drivers could be more aware when they see us desperately trying to make it on to their service.
*Actual* huge thanks to the member of @potteriesbuses station staff who listened to me, let me cry out frustration of it repeatedly happening due to a pointless change in the timetable of the 38 service which no-one seems able to explain to me but will log my sentiment I'm sure!
@potteriesbuses I catch 6:17 38 from Tunstall to Hanley, now it no longer continues as 38 it waits pointlessly outside Hanley so we have to then run to get next bus. 6:41 Hanley to Trentham pulled out at 6:39 after seeing us run, pulling back anyway to wait there 3mins before leaving. Again.
Huge thanks(not) to driver of 06:41 @potteriesbuses to Trentham-photo taken on third minute of him sitting watching my hysterical begging after he watched 6 of us run for his bus then pulled out *just* as we got to door, leaving me a choice of taxi I can't afford or lose my job!
@potteriesbuses Hi, I assume it was just cancellations, one has finally arrived about ten mins ago after a wait at Flash Lane for just over an hour and half, but on way to Hanley now so all is well (in a cold, tired sort of way!) Thanks for the response though 😊
Anyone know what's going on / gone on in Trentham area that may mean @potteriesbuses can't get through to Oak Hill? Someone said an accident but traffic actually seems fine so maybe just a bus problem??
@potteriesbuses@firstpotteries And it's the inconsistency that frustrates - 3 days I made it on time (allbeit having to run through bus station) but today I'm late again as we got in just as 21 service left station. Can't find an alternate route so no choice but to take stressful gamble each day and hope!
Another day of so close but yet so far... sat just outside Hanley on @potteriesbuses 38 waiting for "time" and knowing I'm about to miss the connection that was a perfect journey for 4 months. Couldn't even make it from here if I got off and ran through town. Late to work again
@potteriesbuses This is my issue - the starting time hasn't changed, the journey time hasn't changed, it's the bus not continuing as a 38 that's changed so it's had extra unnecessary waits added so it gets to Hanley later ready to be 39, makes it better for @firstpotteries but not lots of us.
@potteriesbuses As stated many times,I catch 6:17 38 Tunstall-Hanley. As it no longer continues as 38 it waits more at stops/just outside Hanley.Used to get in station by 6:35, now arrives between 6:35 and 6:45. Several regular users need to be on 6:40 21 and now often miss this so late for work
Literally just cried at a bus driver because this change is having such a crappy effect on my life and there's nothing I can do about it - well, except lose my job or move house! I know it's not his fault but I'm at my wits end!
@potteriesbuses The whole point is that I'd love to arrive with time to spare, and have consistently between sept-jan, but then @potteriesbuses made a tiny change that benefits them but prevents regular users of that service from now being able to complete the journey! (read the thread)
And again... 6 minutes pointless wait 2 stops from the bus station means I miss my @potteriesbuses connection. It's not like there's not a whole bus station the driver could spend these minutes waiting. So many of us were used to this journey and now left frustrated and late.
@potteriesbuses The more I think about this reply the more frustrated I am to know there's a stated time window yet the drivers are choosing to pull out when they can see us running towards them. Third time this week that the 21 service at 6:40 has done this. So I've been on time to work once.
@potteriesbuses In relation to this, could drivers be encouraged to not leave bus station early! Today we ran from 38 to Stand S, arrived as clock turned to 06:40 but 21 already pulled out. So frustrating!! my boss doesn't understand I'm already on earliest bus so have no way to stop being late.
@potteriesbuses The 06:10 38 service from Goldenhill-Hanley. Running time still seems same but now it doesn't carry on as 38 it waits at bottom of Hanley. Used to get in bus station 6:35ish so could get 6:40 21 service, but now we wait outside and get in just as 21 leaves affecting 10-20 users
