I still can’t process the fact the White House is openly boasting of committing war crimes, crimes against humanity and against the law of the sea. 200 young men returning from a ceremonial naval exercise thousands of nautical miles away from the conflict zone, a ship with no active weapons as it was in India on an invitation to participate in a naval event/festivity which includes sporting events between sailors, last thing they would expect is to be a military target. Not only attacked and sunk but then left to drown, Nazi U-Boats would help rescue the sailors of the ships they sank, when the British and Spanish sank each other’s galleons and frigates they would pull the sailors out of the water and leave them at the nearest port… it is an age old law amongst seamen and also part of the Geneva Convention

They used Claude for:
- Intelligence assessments
- Target identification
- Simulating battle scenarios

This is the same AI that Trump banned 12 hours before the bombs fell.

The same AI the Pentagon labeled a “national security risk” and blacklisted.

There is no replacement ready. Claude has been the only AI on classified military networks since 2024. The 6-month wind-down exists because even the Pentagon admits you can’t swap it overnight.

They banned the company. They needed the technology. So they used it anyway.

イランの話、ただごとじゃないので少し真面目に書く。

実は個人的に今年イランに行く予定もあったので、ニュースを見て驚きは隠せない。渡航は当然ながら困難になった。

アメリカとイスラエルがイランを攻撃した。核施設を叩いたって報道もある。そして、イランが報復でサウジやUAEにある米軍基地にミサイルを撃った。ついにサウジアラビアも巻き込まれた。ドバイ空港は全便停止。中東がめちゃくちゃになってる。

これ、日本に関係ないと思ってる人が多いと思う。でも、めちゃくちゃ関係ある。

日本のエネルギーの9割以上は中東に依存してる。原油はホルムズ海峡っていう幅たった33kmの海峡を通って日本に運ばれてくる。今回の戦争はその海峡の目の前で起きてる。ここが封鎖されたら、日本に原油が入ってきにくくなる。ホルムズ海峡経由ではないルートもあるが、ジリ貧になり、最悪の場合は数ヶ月で干上がってもおかしくない。

僕は経営者だから、この手のニュースを見ると真っ先に数字が浮かぶ。

原油が上がる→ガソリン代が上がる→配送コストが上がる→仕入れ値が上がる→電気代が上がる。全部連鎖する。

これは経営者だけの話じゃない。車に乗る人、電気を使う人、スーパーで買い物する人。つまり全員に関係があります。遠く離れた国で起きていることが、我々の生活に直結するのです。

政府は「石油需給に直ちに影響はない」って言ってる。「直ちに」って言葉、東日本大震災の時も聞いた。直ちにじゃなくて、3ヶ月後にどうなるかの話をしてほしい。半年後にガソリンがいくらになるかの話をしてほしい。

日本は資源がない国だ。なのに、その危機感が薄すぎる。何度も言うが、これは遠い国の戦争じゃない。来月の我々の生活の話だ。

コンビニの棚に商品が並ぶのも、スマホでゲームができるのも、すべてはこのエネルギーの連鎖の上に成り立っている。当たり前だと思っている「日常」が、実は薄氷の上にあることを忘れてはいけない。

今、中東で起きている火の粉は、すでに私たちの食卓まで届こうとしている。

1日も早く戦争が終わることを願います。
